Josephine Milano

Of East Boston

Josephine A. Milano of Sumner Street, East Boston passed away at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea on June 28. She was 98 years old.

Born in East Boston, the beloved daughter of the late Carmella (DiPaulo) and Paul Scopa, she was the devoted wife of the late Anthony Ventresco and Philip Milano; the loving mother of the late Janice Marsinelli, Philip Milano and Anthony Ventresco; dear sister of the late James and Roland Scopa, Marie Fratto and Elvira Reale; cherished grandmother of Jodi Bradbury and her husband, George of Salem, Terri Soroka of Texas and Philip Milano, Jr. and great grandmother of Joseph Marsinelli and Talia Lassiter.

Elidore ‘Al’ Masiello

Decorated Korean War veteran

Elidore “Al” L. Masiello, a life-long resident of East Boston, passed away on June 20. He was 85 years old.

Al was a Korean War Veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star and a member of the Survivors of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

The cherished son of the late Pellegrino and Philomena (Cristallo) Masiello, he was the beloved husband of the late Dora (Mavilio) Masiello; loving father of Doreen Azzolino and her husband, Michael; adored grandfather of David and Michael Azzolino and great-grandfather of David Azzolino; caring brother of Anthony Masiello and his wife, Ann, Rita Masiello and the late Gemma Brogna.  Al is also survived by his dear friend Judith Orlandino and by many loving nieces and nephews.

James Duffy

Of East Boston

James M. Duffy died in East Boston on July 2.

He was the beloved husband of Anna Duffy; father of Susan Imbriano and her husband, Paul of Rowley and Michael Duffy and his wife, Maria of Mt. Sinai, NY; brother of Muriel Duffy, Cecelia Landry and seven deceased siblings and grandfather of Paul Imbriano Jr, Dillon Imbriano, Sean Duffy and Mark Duffy.

Funeral Services will be held in the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] East Boston on Thursday morning, July 7 at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends  areinvited. Visiting hours are today, Wednesday, July 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Helen LePage

Of East Boston

Helen E. (Sheehan) LePage died on July 2.

She was the beloved wife of the late William G. LePage Sr.; mother of Michael and his wife, Mary of East Boston, Mark of East Boston, Leslie of Lynn and his late wife, Patricia, Jeffrey and his companion, Angela Durgin of Saugus, Gail of Revere, David and his wife, Roberta of Revere, the late Richard Sr. and his surviving, wife Diane of East Boston and the late William Jr, She was the sister of John Sheehan of Saugus, Eileen Coppola of California and the late Joan Constantino, Mary Granara and Charlotte Gautreau.  Helen is also survived by three generations of grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] East Boston Thursday morning, July 7 at 9 a.m. followed by her  Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10 o’clock.
