Wife of late state representative

Virginia (DeMarco) DiLorenzo of East Boston, passed away on Friday, July 3.

Virginia’s greatest joys were spending time with George and her family and shopping at Filenes Basement in Boston.

She was the beloved wife of the late former Massachusetts State Representative George E. DiLorenzo; loving mother of George DiLorenzo Jr. and his wife, Denise of Middleton and Denise LoConte and her husband, Arthur of Winthrop; cherished grandmother of Carla LoConte Vitale, Gabrielle Anderson and her husband, Brian, Danielle DiLorenzo, Christina DiLorenzo and Christopher DiLorenzo; great-grandmother of Sofia Rita Vitale, George Anderson and Eleanor Rose Anderson; dear sister of the late Claire DiMichele of East Boston and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor Virginia’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. Revere at 8:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her honor at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, MA. Retired MBTA bus driver

Jeanne M. (Manfra) Sasso of East Boston passed away on Friday, July 3 surrounded by her loving family. She was 67 years old.

A retired MBTA Bus Driver, she was the cherished daughter of Jennie (Zozzi) Manfra and the late Edward Manfra, the beloved wife of Michael Sasso; loving mother of Michelle Sasso-Ambrosino and Edward Sasso and his companion, Donna Moran; adored grandmother of Bianca Teazis and her husband, Michael, Alexa Ambrosino, Frank Ambrosino and Isabella Sasso; caring sister of Denise Manfra and her husband, Don Lasecki and Edward Manfra. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.

Family and friends will honor Jeanne’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St, Revere, today, Wednesday, July 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. Thursday for a Funeral Service in our Chapel of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. Committal service is private. Esther DiStasio

Of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston

Esther M. (Goodwin) DiStasio of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, died on July 5.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frank DiStasio who passed away March 9, 2014 after 65 years of marriage; devoted mother of Denise R. Ritchie-DiStasio of Winthrop, Brian J. DiStasio and his wife, Laura of Arlington; dear twin sister of Ruth E. Smith of Stoneham and the late Kenneth and George Goodwin and Hazel Rawlings; cherished grandmother of Nicholas R. and Kristopher B. DiStasio and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Esther by gathering on Thursday, July 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston and again at 9 a.m. Friday for a Funeral Service in celebration of Esther’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Esther being laid to rest with her beloved husband in the Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery. Carol Correia

Of East Boston

Carol A. Correia of East Boston,passed away on June 23. She was 57 years old.

She was the cherished daughter of Florence (Catrone) Correia of East Boston and the late Antonio J. Correia; loving sister of Anthony Correia and his wife, Lourdes of East Boston and Janice Russo of Stoneham; adored aunt of Dawnmarie Russo of Stoneham and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
