Dina Ferrera

Passed away on Easter Sunday

Dina M. (Coccimiglio) Ferrera of Revere passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5. She was 46 years old.

The cherished daughter of Elena (Beatrice) and Nick Coccimiglio and daughter-in-law of Angela (Piscitelli) and Salvatore Ferrera, she was the beloved wife of Michael Ferrera; loving step-mother of Michael Ferrera, Jr. and Angela Marie Ferrera; caring sister of Trev Coccimiglio and his wife, Grace, Olina Roberto and her husband, Anthony, Nick Coccimiglio and his wife, Jenna and sister-in-law of Angela Frangolini and her husband, Pat and Lisa Ferrera August and her husband, Paul; adored aunt of Paige, Zack, Krystalyne, Giana, Gabriella, Christopher, Nicole, and Amanda and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and loving pet dog Mea Ferrera.

Family and friends will honor Dina’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home on Saturday, April 11 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 11:30 a.m. in our Chapel of the Resurrection. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Isabel Sarro

Of East Boston

Isabel H. (Hyde) Sarro of East Boston died on April 6. She was 85 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late George Sarro; devoted mother of Letty Morello of New Hampshire, Daniel T. Sarro of Revere, Isabel R. Holding-Sarro of East Boston, Carmen J, Sarro of East Boston and the late George A. Sarro, Jr. and Joseph Sarro. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews,

Family and friends will honor Isabel’s life by gathering on Thursday, April 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston and again on Friday morning at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, Brooks Street, East Boston for a Mass in Celebration of Isabel’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Isabel being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Anthony DiLorenzo

Retired Boston School custodian

Anthony DiLorenzo of East Boston died at home following a long battle with multiple myeloma on March 30. He was 72 years old.

Born in Winthrop, he was a life long resident of East Boston and a devotee of Sacred Heart Parish Community of East Boston. He was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1961 and worked for the City of Boston as a school department custodian for over 35 years.

He was the beloved son of the late Vincent and Rose (DiLorenzo) DiLorenzo; the devoted brother of the Rev. Thomas A. DiLorenzo, pastor of Holy Rosary Church of Winthrop; the dear nephew of Mary D’Agostino of East Boston and he is also lovingly survived by his cherished cousin and her family, Mary E. Campanella and her husband, Joseph of Everett, who with their children and grandchildren surrounded Anthony with much love and affection, a gift that provides all seniors with a magical sense of security.

Denis R. Bolognese of Revere died on March 30.

He was the beloved son of Virginia “Jean” (Pisani) and the late Reginald Bolognese; dear brother of David and his wife, Ellen of Saugus and Lynda Cooke and her husband, Michael of Stoneham; treasured uncle of Nicholas, Jenna and Robert “Bobby” and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Josephine (Gassiraro) Marotta of East Boston passed away April 2.

She was the beloved wife of Luciano “Aggie” Marotta; loving mother of Patrick Gemma and his wife, Denise of Revere; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Kristin and Vincent Gemma; great grandmother of Ryan, Khloe and Kasey Hanscom and Michael Burke; dear sister of Yolanda Zappulla of Winthrop and Gloria Di Martino of Revere and the late Elsie DiPerri, Jennie Anzalone, Frank “Yappa” and Joseph “Gassie” Gassiraro. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Lilian DiDio

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Lillian B. (Rindone) DiDio of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died in Boynton Beach, Florida on April 1.

She was the beloved wife for more than 56 years to Joseph DiDio; beloved mother of the late Jay Jay and Janice DiDio; dear sister of the late Rosane Rodwell and John Rindone, Jr. and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
