Homemaker who enjoyed sewing and knitting

Camille Lapio of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on October 29 at Aviv Center for Living.

A homemaker who enjoyed sewing and knitting, Camille moved to Revere from East Boston in the late 70’s.

She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Frances Amato; beloved wife of the late Francis; devoted mother of William and his fiancé, Nancy Landry of Lynn; dear sister of the late Arthur, Albert, Hecter, Pat, Ella, Marie, Anne, Rose, and Angie and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and her pet cockatiel named Wally.

John Russo

Retired Produce Manager and past President of the Boston Retail Grocers Association

John M. Russo of East Boston, formerly of Somerville, died unexpectedly on November 1.

He was a past member of St. Lazarus Parish Holy Name Society, the Church Choir and Holiday Fair Committee as well as a longtime dedicated and devoted parishioner always helping in any way he could for his beloved Church. John, who worked for many years as a produce manager for Liberty Markets and Johnny’s Foodmaster Stores, was a past member and president of the Boston Retail Grocers Association; a past member KC of St Francis 2962 and was also know as the gentleman sitting on his porch on Saratoga Street in East Boston waving to hundreds of drivers as they made their way by his home – many of them yelling out his name as they drove by.

The beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Buonopane) Russo, he was the devoted father of Lisa Russo of Revere and Michelle Botticelli and her husband, Kenneth who also was John’s devoted caregiver. He was the dear brother of Theresa DeCologero of Somerville; cherished grandfather of Annalise, John and Angelina and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews as well as his cherished canines Baxter, Benji and Bleu.

Family and friends will honor John by gathering on Thursday, November 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston and again on Friday morning at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to St Joseph St Lazarus Church for a Funeral Mass in honor of John’s life at 10 a.m..In honoring John and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zumix, 260 Sumner St., East Boston 02128. Joseph Ambrosino

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Joseph “Generoso” Ambrosino of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on October 29.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Joe worked for Bonano Linen Services for many years.

He was the beloved husband of Rose (Mirabile); devoted father of John and his wife, Rhonda of Revere and Frank and his wife, Tammie of East Boston; loving grandfather of Gina, Maria, Joseph, Frankie, Bianca, Alexa, Destiny and Kaylee and he also leaves two great grandchildren, Bobby and Michael and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jacqueline Ann Corliss

Cosmetologist/Hairdresser of Foxborough

Jacqueline Ann (Dicenzo) Corliss of Foxborough passed away on November 1 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jacqueline was born on November 12 in Boston, the loving daughter of George and Jacqueline (Brogna) Dicenzo of Foxborough. She was a graduate of Mt. Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton in 1971 and the Mansfield Beauty School of Boston in 1974. She married her husband, Don on June 3, 2006 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in East Boston.

Jacqueline was a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, ASPE (American Society of Plumbing Engineers), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and held a cosmetologist/hair dressers license.

Along with her husband and parents, Jaqueline is survived by her stepson, Dana and his wife and their two children of Attleboro.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston. Tito Gentile

Of Lynnfield, formerly of East Boston

Tito A. Gentile of Lynnfield, formerly of East Boston, passed away October 28 at the Mass. General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

A US Navy veteran, Tito graduated East Boston High School, Class of 1945. He was a former barber at the Hotel Statler in Boston before becoming the former proprietor of Independent Travel Agency in Burlington.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy ( Petrillo ) Gentile with whom he shared 64 years of marriage; loving father of Donald Gentile and his wife, Christine of Revere, Thomas Gentile and his wife, Jocelyn and Daniel Gentile and his wife, Lauren, all of Lynnfield; dear brother of the late Theresa Buono and Angelo Gentile; cherished Papa to Michael, Donald Jr. and his wife, Lauren, John, Alexander and David Gentile and his great grandchild, Evelyn Gentile.
