Deborah Jackson

The death this week of East Boston Savings Bank President and COO Deborah Jackson has dealt a cruel blow to the bank and the organizations she was dedicated to here in Eastie.

Jackson was a regular fixture at East Boston Chamber of Commerce and Main Streets events and meetings.
She became very active in the East Boston Kiwanis and was always willing to help the organization in any way she could.
A former longtime East Bostonian, Jackson knew the lay of the land here, had many friends that she kept close with during her time growing up on Webster Street.

While she was from modest means Jackson, like the bank s CEO Dick Gavagnano, rose from a working class family and some personal struggles to become a leading force at the bank and in the community.

Our deepest sympathies to her family, friends and colleagues in Eastie.
