The 96th clash between these two Thanksgiving Day rivals takes place at venerable White Stadium at 9:30 a.m. The EB Jets are 4-6; the SB Knights are 0-9.
The Jets four wins came against English, Charlestown, West Roxbury and Madison Park. East Boston has a four year win streak on the line this year and hopes for a fifth straight Thanksgiving Day win. The Jets beat South Boston last year 22-14 and are led by John Parziale, concluding his fifth year at the helm. The Knights are led by first year coach Ray Butler. Although winless, the Knights have scored in four out of five games and last played on Nov. 9. Both teams value the Thanksgiving Day game and have been practicing heartily for the big day.
All are welcome to come out and cheer on both teams and win or lose, be good sports about the results.
