The 95thmatch up will take place on Thanksgiving Day morning at White Stadium. Kick-off time is 9:30 a.m. Both teams have struggled with having more losses than wins. As the regular season schedule comes to an end, South Boston is 3-7 and East Boston is 4-5.
The South Boston Knights, led by Coach Sean Guthrie (5th season) were 0-6 before getting their first win against Burke on October 19 by a score of 14-8. After losing to Madison Park, the Knights have a two game win streak, having defeated West Roxbury and Charlestown as they prepare for the Thanksgiving Day Game. East Boston, led by John Parziale (3rdseason) had a chance for the Boston North title last Friday night, but got pummeled by Madison Park (7-2) at Sartori Stadium by a score of 62-20.
Despite how the season has gone, both teams will practice hard for the big game on Thanksgiving Day. Last year, the Jets won 12-6 and advanced to a Division 4A play-off game. All are welcome to come out and cheer on both teams.
