Joe Ruggiero, Buddy Mangini, Bill Chisholm, Celeste Myers, Rosalie Patralia and all the other volunteers that made this year’s Columbus Day Parade Sunday in East Boston a success should be proud of the job that they did.
All those involved in planning this year’s parade spent countless hours and long days and nights meticulously planning every detail right down to the order of the marchers.
While there was the threat of rain, the weather held off and the four hour long event drew thousands of residents from Eastie and beyond to the neighborhood to enjoy a afternoon-long day of fun.
A special thanks to Sal Murano for serving as this year’s Chief Grand Marshal as well as the family of Joe Keohane for whom this year’s parade was dedicated.
