Joseph Yourawski

Joseph J. “Joey” Yourawski of Revere died on August 14 after a long illness.

He was the loving father of Joseph O’Connell of Somerville and Cara Finnochio and her husband, Anthony of Revere; beloved son of the late Walter and Caroline (Sasso) Yourawski; dear brother of Thomas and Louella Yourawski of Revere, Walter Yourawski and his wife, Cerie and Karen Stoico, all of Peabody and the late Kevin Yourawski and Sandra Yourawski; cherished grandfather of Dillen and Collin Fincchio; beloved uncle of Robby, Caroline and Julian Yourawski and Michael, Nicole and Courtney Stoico, all of Peabody, Jay Yurawski of Florida, Paul Cambria of Peabody and Ronny Cambria of Lynn.

Carmello Graziano

East Boston resident

Carmello J. “Carl” Graziano of East Boston died on August 13.

A National Guard veteran of World War II, he was the beloved father of Carl V. Graziano of Malden; loving grandfather of Rocky Graziano of Winthrop, Nicole Etheridge and her husband, Jason of Lynn, and Michael Graziano and his fiancée, Colleen Whelan of Revere; dear great-grandfather of Nicholas Michael Graziano and is also survived by three brothers and a sister.

Alma Serra

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Alma (Lombardo) Serra of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on August 11. She was in her 102nd year.

The beloved wife of the late Patrick Serra, she was the devoted mother of the late Constance Rose and Frank Serra; cherished grandmother of Deborah Rose, Sandra Hughes, Rhonda DeStasio, Stacey Quinones and Lisa DeLuca and is also survived by her loving great grandchildren and fond nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of her life will be held today, Wednesday, August 17 at 10 a.m. in the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Maverick Street, (Maverick Sq) East Boston. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In accordance with Mrs Serra’s wishes, visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Esther (Perry) Nickerson of Revere, formerly of Malden, died on August 11.

She was the loving mother of Kimberly Nickerson of N. Andover and Lloyd Nickerson of Revere; dear sister of William, Charles, Frank, Walter and Eugene Perry; cherished grandmother of Todd Freeman.

Maria (La Grotteria) Serra of East Boston, formerly Calabria, Italy, died on August 12. She was in her 97th year.

She was the beloved wife of the late Stefano La Serra with whom she shared 39 years of marriage; loving mother of Nick La Serra and his wife, Itala “Silvana” of Stoneham and the late Anna Maria La Serra; dear sister of Palma Apa, Natalina Furlano, Carmela Cervalo of Italy and the late Francesca Valente, Francesco, Graziano and Narzareno La Grotteria; cherished grandmother of Stephen and Rita La Serra.

Stanley Belinsky

Of New Hampshire, formerly of East Boston

Stanley “Mitch” Belinsky of Seabrook, NH, formerly of Beverly, Revere and East Boston, died on August 4.

He was the beloved husband of Joanne Sweeney-Belinsky and is also survived by two sisters, a brother, a son and five grandchildren.

Mario Imbriano

East Boston resident

Mario Imbriano of East Boston died on August 7 after a long battle with cancer. He was 55 years old.

He was the loving son of Rosina Imbriano and the late Felice Imbriano; dear brother of Antonio Imbriano and his wife, Ursula of Malden, Alex Imbriano of Revere, Felix Imbriano and his wife, Angela of East Boston, and Michael Imbriano and his wife, Rita of Lynn; dear brother-in-law of Rosemarie Imbriano of Revere. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Agnes Toomey

AT&T Retiree, Telephone Pioneers member

Agnes F. Toomey of South Boston, formerly of Beachmont, Revere and East Boston, died on August 10. She was 88 years old.

A devotee of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Revere and a retiree of AT&T, she was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was the daughter of the late John A. and Catherine R. (Farrell) Toomey; cherished sister of Ellen Kanall of Winthrop, Margaret Vieira of Hull, Frances Bonner of Concord and the late Catherine Reynolds, Mary Tierney, Anna Pedro, Alice M. Toomey, Thomas and William Toomey. She is also lovingly survived by 28 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and grand nephews.

Michael A. Mackin of Revere died on August 8.

He was the beloved husband of Alice (Cavallaro) Mackin; devoted father of Michael A. Jr.; dear brother of John Ballentine of East Boston, William Mackin of Revere and Joanne Mackin of Florida. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Taylor Marie and Chloe Elizabeth, his niece Tayla Dicicco and many other nieces and nephews.

Jason Steven Burgos of Chelsea died suddenly on August 6. He was 31 years old.

He was the loving son of Jose and Eva Baires of Chelsea; beloved husband of Karen Loaisiga of Chelsea; devoted father of Katherine Burgos of North Carolina, Jason Burgos Jr, Jose Burgos and Arianna Burgos, all of Chelsea; dear brother of Jose and Janette Baires, Miguel and Vanessa Ortiz and is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
