Special to the Times
The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center is proud to partner with the East Boston Holiday Committee, the East Boston Chamber of Commerce and East Boston Main Streets to bring holiday cheer to our community with festive new wreaths, garlands and lights in Maverick Square, Central Square, Day Square and Orient Heights.
“We are very excited to announce our corporate sponsorship from the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center,” said Holiday Committee Chairperson and longtime East Boston resident, Lisa Cappuccio. “Our first year bringing back lights and decorations in the squares has been successful with the support of businesses and agencies such as the EBNHC, which is more than a healthcare facility — they are partners in our community, always participating and giving back in numerous ways. We are fortunate to have EBNHC in our community and are very thankful for their extremely generous donation.”
EBNHC is one of the nation’s largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and the largest community-based primary care health system in Massachusetts, serving over 100,000 patients and recognized by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as a National Quality Leader. EBNHC is a major employer with nearly 2,000 staff, and a nine-time awardee of Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work recognition.
“We know that the health of our community is not just about high-quality, compassionate healthcare, but about bringing light and gladness to the thousands of community members who enjoy these busy public spaces each day,” said Greg Wilmot, CEO and President of East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. “We are thrilled that our neighborhood’s civic and business organizations can come together to beautify our community and spread joy during the holidays and throughout the year.”
