Antonio D’Addieco

Antonio D’Addieco of East Boston passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, October 11, 2024.
Antonio was born on June 15, 1930 in Taurasi (P.) Avellino, Italy, to his loving parents, Francesco and Florinda (Colella) D’Addieco. He immigrated to East Boston from Italy in 1970.
He was the beloved husband of Maria Elisa (Memmolo) D’Addieco, the devoted father of Fiorinda Tartaglia and her husband, Salvatore of Revere, Frank D’Addieco and Marilena D’Addieco, both of East Boston; dear brother of Immacolata Pizzano and her late husband, Antonio, the late Luigi D’Addieco and his surviving wife, Rosetta, the late Laura D’Addieco and her husband, Giuseppe Rizzo and the late Ida Cardillo and her husband, Giovanni; cherished grandfather of Orazio Tartaglia and his wife, Lauren, Antonio Tartaglia and Francesco Tartaglia and his wife, Gloria; adored great-grandfather of Nico and Emmett Tartaglia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Antonio’s life by gathering at Sacred Heart Church, East Boston on Thursday, October 17th at 10 a.m. for a Funeral Mass celebrating Antonio’s life. Services will conclude with Antonio being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Mary McDonald
Of East Boston
Mary M. (Masciocchi) McDonald of East Boston, formerly of the North End of Boston, passed away on October 12, 2024.
The beloved wife of the late John McDonald, she was the devoted mother of Joanne Watson and her husband, Phil of Winthrop, Marie McDonald of East Boston and the late John Marinella and his surviving wife, Lisa of Bridgewater; dear sister of the late Americo Masciocchi, Jennie Masciulli, George Masciocchi, Anthony Masciocchi, Elena Imperato and Albert Masciocchi; cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Mary’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston on Thursday, October 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church in East Boston for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass. Services will conclude with Mary being laid to rest with her beloved husband at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours today, Wednesday, October 16th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach Street, Revere for Mary A. Forgione, who died on Thursday, October 10th at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was 96 years old. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere. Interment immediately following will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Mary was born in Boston on April 4, 1928. She was proudly raised by her Italian immigrant parents in East Boston. She was educated in Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1946.
Following high school, she went to work at Forbes Lithograph where she worked as a photographer, a successful career that spanned over 40 years.
Mary was a proud resident of East Boston for over 84 years. She later moved to Admirals Hill and lastly Brooksby Village in Peabody. Mary was completely devoted to her family and loved being in their company, especially during the holiday season.
A person of grace and style, Mary will be remembered for her love of books and writing. An avid reader, she was rarely without a mystery book in hand.
She was also known for her beautiful, heartfelt thank-you notes, each one handwritten with care, reflecting her warmth, thoughtfulness, and deep appreciation for others. These notes, treasured by many, were a testament to Mary’s sincerity and personal touch in every interaction.
Always impeccably dressed, Mary loved to shop and had a flair for fashion that was uniquely her own—elegant, sophisticated, and fabulous. Her sense of style was not just about appearance, but a reflection of her personality.
She was the devoted daughter of the late Salvatore Forgione and Antoinette (Pastore) Forgione; the loving sister of the late Martin Forgione, Anthony Forgione, and Anne Maher; the treasured aunt of Nancy Sposito, Roy Maher, Robert Maher and the late Catherine Maher and Linda Coppola. She is also lovingly survived by many grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews.

Sabina Taylor
Her vibrant personality and shimmering presence lit up the lives of everyone she met
Sabina T. (Canto) Taylor, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and joyous soul passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024, at the age of 85 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 7, 1938, in the North End neighborhood of Boston.
Sabina was the daughter of Edward and Phylis Canto. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Taylor. She is survived by three children: John (the late Anita), Edward (Elizabeth), Judith (Bobby) and son-in-law, Richard. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren: Richard (Larissa), Joshua (Jack), Ethan (Morgan) and Evan.
She enjoyed spending time with her favorite puppies, Joey and Lio as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was also a cherished sister to Camille (Lou) and Ann (Al) and was preceded in death by her brother, Edward (the late Angela).
Sabina’s vibrant personality and shimmering presence lit up the lives of everyone she met. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Carmel and Sacred
Heart parishes, a friend to her Red Hat Society sisters and Mt. Carmel Mothers’ Club members and known as Queen Isabella during the East Boston Columbus Day Parade. She was a hard worker and built many forever friendships while working at the China Roma and Extension 102. Sabina’s love will continue to shine in every life she has touched.
Family and friends celebrated her life on Tuesday, October 15th in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home forFunerals, 262 Beach St., Revere. A funeral service in the funeral home was followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
