Realist[STATE]: Work by Walter Kopec, July 3 – 25

Atlantic Works Gallery is excited to announce Realist[STATE], a solo show of work by Walter Kopec, from July 3-25, 2026.

If you are looking for something to do to kick off your July 4 weekend, please stop by the show opening on Friday, July 3 from 4-7 pm! The artist will also be at the Gallery on Saturday, July 4 from 2-6 pm. We will also host a third Thursday reception July 16 from 6-9 pm.

AWG is located at 80 Border Street, with free parking. It’s also a short walk from Maverick Station. Make a day of it in Eastie — beautiful parks, stunning views of Boston, and great restaurants. Kick off the summer with art! It would be great to see you.

Gallery Hours: Fridays and Saturdays, 2–6 PM, and by appointment

East Boston Latin Music and Dance Festival  

Senator Lydia Edwards, in partnership with Salsa Y Control and Zumix, is excited to invite the community to the 5th Annual East Boston Latin Music and Dance Festival!

Taking place at East Boston Memorial Park on September 13, this festival brings together dancers, artists, local businesses and delicious food for a day of celebration and community.

The event is free, open to all, and will run from 1:00pm-8:00pm. We’ll see you on the dance floor!

El festival se llevará a cabo en East Boston Memorial Park el 13 de septiembre y reunirá a bailarines, artistas, negocios locales y deliciosa comida para un día de celebración y comunidad.

Free Thursdays are back starting in July at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

 The Gardner Museum’s beloved Free First Thursdays are taking over—now every Thursday evening is free. Each week. All year. Starting in July.

Join us from 5–9 pm every Thursday for free admission, creative engagements, and the chance to connect with your community.

Whether you’re looking for a date idea, a dose of culture, a bit of art making, or a home away from home, let Free Thursday Nights be part of your weekly itinerary.

Set your alarms: Thursday evening tickets will be available online two days before your desired date, beginning at 10 am on Tuesdays.
