Frankie Vigliotta leads Yellow Team to victory in EBYBL final

On Saturday, March 21, East Boston Youth Basketball concluded the season with a thrilling championship game. The Yellow team powered by 24 points from Frankie Vigliotta defeated the Black squad 34 to 30. After multiple lead changes in the second half the score was tied with less than a minute to go but Vigliotta calmly made 4 free throws to secure the victory. The game was very exciting and well played. Cali Triant played an awesome game leading the Black Team with 20 points and 18 rebounds. Rocco Pezzano played very well for Yellow Team, scoring 6 big points. Dom Noe and Dom Pino controlled the boards, Lorenzo Caraglia lead the offense from his point guard spot, and Thomas Martin and Omar Yasien Jr. were all over the court on defense contributing to the victory. The Yellow Team was coached by Louie Ortiz.

Rounding out the scoring for the Black Team were Noah Wooten, Catcher Free, Tim Lynch, and Ella Polsonetti. Sal Rinaldi was great on the boards and Talia Forbes was great on defense. The Black Team was coached by Dan Nucci.

Both teams gave great effort and displayed outstanding sportsmanship.
