Giuseppe Ghergurovich

Formerly of Croatia

Giuseppe Ghergurovich passed away on Jan. 8. He was 90 years old.
Giuseppe was born in Crno, Croatia to Marko Ghergurovich and Tonka Ghergurovich. He married Yolanda (Vukosa) Ghergurovich and they shared over 61 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of John Ghergurovich and his wife, Carol of Connecticut, Frank Ghergurovich and his loving companion, Margaret Dirck of Charlestown and Anthony Ghergurovich and his wife, Kristen of Stoneham; dear brother of the late Pavle Ghergurovic, Zorka Ghergurovic, Danica Vukosa, Anka Zekanovich, Yolanda Zadkovich and Pina Ghergurovic; cherished grandfather of Jonathan Ghergurovich and his wife, Katlin, Jacklyn Tobin and her husband, Kevin, Jennifer, Joseph, Megan, Anthony, Robert, Joseph, Julia and the late Daniel Ghergurovich and adored great-grandfather of Alina, James and Nicholas. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary Vallone

Of Salem, formerly of East Boston

Mary Vallone of Salem died Saturday at the NSMC-Salem Hospital after a short illness. She was 97 years old.

She was born in Boston on Sept. 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Luzio and Concetta (Santangelo) Di Mauro and resided in East Boston most of her life before moving to Salem 23 years ago.

Mary graduated from East Boston High School in 1938 and was a stitcher at Reliable Sportswear of Roxbury for over 40 years retiring in 1984.

She enjoyed going dancing and making her favorite recipes for her family. She had been an avid reader and enjoyed reading two books a week.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Paul DiStefano of Peabody, Angelo and his wife, Christine DiStefano of Lynn, Gerard DiStefano of New Hampshire; her great nieces and nephews, Angelo and his wife, Jen

DiStefano of Danvers, April and her husband, Christopher Hanlon of Lynn, three great great niece and nephews, Vera Di Stefano, Hunter and Harrison Hanlon; a very special care giver to her in many ways during these past years, Ana Mesa and many loving cousins and friends. She was the sister of the late Salvatore Di Mauro, Sonny Sbriglio, Carmela Nevola and Pauline Di Stefano.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 19     from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by services there at 12 noon. Mother and Grandmother

Helen (Imperato) DiMichelem passed away on January 11. She was 85 years old.
Helen, who was born in Boston to John Imperato and Mary Imperato, was the wife of Joseph DiMichele, beloved mother of Joseph and his wife, Marie, Christopher, Richard and the late Steven DiMichele, dear sister of Joseph Imperato and the late Marie Imperato and John Imperato, cherished grandmother of Jared and Justin and adored great grandmother of Jianni and James.
