Eastie resident Kyla McCartney, who also teaches third grade at the Kennedy School in Eastie, sends blow after to blow to her opponent last Thursday, Feb. 23, during a title bout at the New England Golden Gloves Championships. The popular elementary school teacher took home the female novice title for New England in the 165-pound category.
