As East Boston changes and the waterfront gives rise to new housing developments, many commuters will never see these gleaming new structures, and in this case, would have seen only a billboard sign. That would be their impression of East Boston, as they zoom 50 miles an hour out of the tunnel and onto Route 1.
But now that has changed, as Dave Modica has put the face of East Boston before profits, and for that, he deserves a lot of credit.
