Louise Lunde

Of East Boston

Louise M. (Murray) Lunde of East Boston died on January 8.

She was the wife of the late Philip Lunde; mother of Cynthia, Bernadette, Philip and Candice; sister of Thomas, Daniel and the late Ann and Eileen. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Josephine Nelson

Former MIT/Draper Lab employee

Josephine M. (Bella) Nelson, a resident of the Belmont Manor and formerly of Watertown and Jamaica Plain entered into eternal life on January 8. She was 93 years old.

A former employee of MIT/Draper Lab, she was the dear and devoted wife of the late Edgar J. Nelson, the dear daughter of the late John J. and Mary Bella and step-daughter of the late Ruth V. Bella; beloved sister of Eleanor Bella-Guarino and her husband, Joseph of East Boston, Lawrence Bella and his wife, Sachiko of Holbrook and the late Charles J. Bella of Winchester and Gail Capuzzo-Boyajian of Jamaica Plain; cherished aunt of John Bella and his wife, Kim, Larry Bella Jr., Ralph and John Capuzzo, Michael, Danny and Robert Boyajian, Lisa Bella-Beagley and her husband, Roy, Carolyn Bella and RuthAnn Thibeau. She is also survived by several grand-nieces and grand nephews. Jo Bella was the dearest cousin of Rita Vuozzo Olivieri, Raymond Haddigan, Jr. and Dorothy Mahoney and she also leaves several second cousins. She was the dear friend of Joanne Sintiris and the Trellis Room lunch bunch at the Belmont Manor.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home(Orient Heights)East Boston. She was laid to rest in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery.

Romero Mariano Salmoran of East Boston died unexpectedly in Mexico on December 30. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in Most Holy Redeemer Church, East Boston on January 10. Arrangements with the personal care of the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston.

Richard Maldonado

Of Dorchester

Richard Maldonado of Dorchester died unexpectedly on January 2.

He was the father of Michelle and Richard Maldonado.

Jane Botticelli

Of Nevada, formerly of Revere

Jane C. (Akerley) Botticelli of Henderson, NV, formerly of Revere, died on January 5.

She was the beloved wife of Andrew Botticelli of Nevada; devoted mother of Karen A. Molino and her husband, Dennis of Florida, Steven A. Botticelli of Revere, Kenneth J. Botticelli and his wife, Michelle of East Boston and Janice C. Botticelli of Pittsfield; dear sister of George “Buddy” Akerley of Arlington, Kenneth Akerley of New Hampshire and Paul Akerley of East Boston; cherished grandmother of David Molino, Kristina Michaelson and her husband, Michael, Annalise Botticelli and her boyfriend, Matt Machain, Angelina Botticelli and Arianna Botticelli and great-grandmother of Emily Molino. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Domenic Petrola

Active member of the East Boston High School Football Boosters Club

Domenic C. Petrola of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died peacefully on January 12. He was 89 years old.

Born in the North End of Boston, son of the late Umberto and Pamela Petrola, he served in the US Marine Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of Corporal. Mr. Petrola worked for the Department of Defense, Dept. of the Navy at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard and retired after 45 years of service.

His hobby was carpentry and he enjoyed building and working on various projects, But his passion was his involvement as a member of the East Boston High School Football Boosters Club. Mr. Petrola loved filming the football games for the high school coaching staff.

He was the beloved husband of Mary A. (Forgione) Petrola with whom he shared 67 years of marriage; loving father of Robert J. Petrola and his wife, Maria of Florida, Rosemary Tremblay and her husband, Richard of Haverhill, Richard R. Petrola of Revere and the late Albert Petrola and his wife, Jane of Saugus; proud grandfather of Anthony, Adrianna and Casandra Petrola, Christopher and Gina Tremblay, the late Alan Petrola and four great-grandchildren and caring brother of Albert Petrola and Rosemarie Pepicelli.

Family and friends will honor Domenic by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St Revere today, Wednesday, January 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to St. Anthony’s Church, Revere for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 12 Noon. Edward N. Alves of East Boston died on January 10.

A US Army veteran, he was the loving son of the late Napoleon and Caroline (Alfama) Alves; beloved companion of the late Juanita Trombley; dear stepfather of Denise DiLuigi and her husband Frank of East Boston and the late Jason Trombley; cherished Papa of Alicia Antenucci, Zachary Trombley, Amanda DiLuigi and Gianna and Jason Trombley. Genevieve ‘Jean’ Cataldo

Genevieve “Jean” (Primatello) Cataldo of Rockledge, Florida, formerly of Revere, died on January 11. She was 90 years old.

A homemaker and a devoted member of St Theresa’s Parish for many years, Jean was born and raised in Revere, the daughter of the late Achille and Antoinette (Festa) Primatello. She was the beloved wife of the late Amorino; devoted mother of Maureen Cerqua of Florida; dear sister of Lawrence “Larry” Primatello of Revere and the late Christy Ferrante, Joseph Ferrante, Mary Martinello, Silvia Spagnolo, Albert Ferrante, Frank Primatello and Patrick Ferrante and is also survived by two loving grandsons, Stephen III and Michael Cerqua of Florida and by many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Friday January 16 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
