East Boston Savings Bank’s Annual Holiday Auction raised $60,000 through the sale of employee- and vendor-donated items, including tickets to sporting events, restaurant gift certificates, homemade arts and crafts, and toys.
“The auction is an event that our employees look forward to every year,” said EBSB Sr. Vice President and Auction Chair Keith Armstrong. “We’re proud of the role we play as a good neighbor in the communities we serve, and our employees continue to be supportive of those efforts.”
The five area charities benefitting from the event were Crossroads Family Shelter, East Boston; East Boston Social Centers; Bread of Life, Malden; Haven From Hunger, Peabody and the Greater Medford Visiting Nurse Association. Each of these organizations received a check for $12,000.
