Boston Crossing Guard For More Than 25 Years

Rita T. (Fabiano) Tritto of East Boston passed away on Sunday, September 14. She was 81 years old.

She was a Crossing Guard for the City of Boston for over 25 years.

The beloved wife of the late Anthony Tritto, she was the loving mother of retired Boston Police Sgt. Maria Walsh and her husband, Thomas of Braintree, Janice Tritto and Lori Tritto and her wife, Jackie Carlino, all of Lynn and the late Toni Ann Tritto; cherished grandmother of Michael A. Walsh; caring sister of Anna Vellante of East Boston, Eleanor DePalma of Stoughton, Gerald Fabiano of Revere and the late Carmella Antonucci, Elizabeth Matt, Mary Spina, Frank, Alfred and Joseph “Tony” Fabiano. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Rita’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. Revere today, Wednesday, September 17 from 3 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. Thursday morning before leaving in procession to the Sacred Heart Church, East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her honor at 11:30 a.m. Committal will follow in the Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Charles Green, III

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Charles E. Green, III of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died recently.

The beloved husband of Carmella “Cammy” (Caggiano) Green, he was the loving son of the late Katherine “Kitty” (Curran), beloved son in law of Viola and the late Michael Caggiano, Sr., dear brother in law of Sandra Caggiano, Corinne Barisano, Michael Caggiano, Jr. and his fiance, Pamela LaCroix; cherished uncle of Michael Caggiano III and his wife, Kelly and Krysta Marie Caggiano and the adored great uncle of Gianna and Michael.

Family and friends will honor Charles’ life by gathering Friday, September19 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston before leaving in procession to St. Joseph St Lazarus Church, East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with Charles being laid to rest in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Claire Cartolano

Of East Boston

Claire (Martignetti) Carolano of East Boston, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on September 9.

She was the beloved wife of Anthony “Sonny”; devoted mother of Michael and his wife, June of New Hampshire; dear sister of Maria Palazzolo and Elaine Petrucci, both of New Hampshire; cherished grandmother of Anthony, Gina Marie and Dante and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Claire was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, (Orient Heights) East Boston.

Steven ‘Baldo’ Baldassari

Of East Boston

Steven “Baldo” Baldassari of East Boston died on September 13.

He was the devoted father of Steven Jr,, Mario and Justin “JJ,” all of East Boston; loving son of the late John Baldassari, Jennie (DeMarco) and her husband, Mario D’Amato of Revere; dear brother of John of Florida, Joanne Baldassari of Malden, Joyce Iantosca of Revere, Denise Coe of New Hampshire and the late Ronald Baldassari; cherished grandfather of Landyn Joseph; former husband of the late Pauline (Florio ) Baldassari and is also survived by many fond nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Steven’s life by gathering today, Wednesday, September 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston and again on Thursday morning (time to be announced) before leaving in procession to The Most Holy Redeemer Church, Maverick Street (Maverick Square) East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in Steven’s honor.
