He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Colntonio) Bianchino; loving father of Jason Bianchino and his wife, Jamie of Revere and Albert Bianchino III of New York; dear brother of Teresa Bianchino of East Boston, William Bianchino of Boston and the late John and Louise Bianchino and Judith Silva; cherished grandfather of Jason Jr., Taylor, Ashley, AJ and Nevaeh Bianchino.

William Nugent
Past Commodore of East Boston Yacht Club
William E. Nugent of East Boston died peacefully on April 27. He was in his 91st year.
Bill, as he was called, was a ship fitter during World War II and later retired as a repair technician from the General Electric Co. Active in union business, he served as an officer in the IBEW Local 103. He was an avid boater and a past Commodore and life member of both the East Boston Yacht Club and the Winthrop Elks Lodge
Born in Boston, he was the beloved husband of the late Florence R. (Jeffrey); loving father of Audrey Comeau and her husband, Tom, Beverly Smallcomb and her late husband, Paul, Deborah Bonazzoli and her late husband, Augie, Maureen Nugent and her husband, Ed Newhook, Kenneth Nugent, Richard Nugent and his wife, Joanne, and the late William J., Frederick and Edward Nugent; cherished brother of Patricia Irving and the late Mansel Nugent. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Grace Holden
Of New Hampshire, formerly of Winthrop
Grace E. Holden of Bedford, New Hampshire, formerly of Winthrop, died on April 15 after a brief illness. She was 58 years old.
Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of Anna (Roche) and the late Richard Holden. She has been a resident of New Hampshire for over 16 years and was employed as a court stenographer.
She was the dear sister of Kathleen Holden of Charlestown, RI and the late Patricia Holden; the loving aunt of Samantha and Christina Nicodemus and the life long friend of Carol Hopkins-Riley and family.

Vincent A. “Sully” Pepe of East Boston died peacefully on April 25 with his children at his bedside. He was in his 90th year.
He was the retired foreman of Van Dusen Air Incorporated at Logan Airport.
The devoted husband of the late Elena (Masciulli) with whom he shared 70 years of marriage, he was the cherished son of the late Sabato and Maria (Porcaro) Pepe; loving father of Marie Pepe-Long and her late husband, Howie of East Boston, Vincent S. Pepe and his wife, Kathleyne of Melrose, Denise Morelli and her husband, Louis of Salem NH and Darlene Giardina and her husband, Police Sgt. James Giardina of Peabody; adored grandfather of Attorney Nicole Giardina, Boston Police Officer James Giardina Jr., and his wife, Rosalie, Anthony and Jeffrey Giardina, Lauren and Elena Pepe and Nicholas and Leah Morelli and great grandfather of Derek, Dylan and Sofia and Emma. He was the dear brother of Mildred Marciano of Medford, and the late Annette Long, and Rose Arico and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lillian M. Vanderpot died on March 21 from congestive heart failure. She was 91 years old.
Born in East Boston, she lived in Revere and for the past 10 years, she lived in St. Louis. MO.
She is survived by her daughter Pat Good and son-in-law Keith Good.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 12 at 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption, 404 Sumner St., E. Boston.

Paul Joseph Porter, Sr. of Burlington, formerly of East Boston, died on April 23.
The former owner of Bay State Appliance in Somerville, he was a Korean War veteran.
He was the beloved husband of the late Hilda M. (Hufnagle); father of Diana Bielecki of Tewksbury, Lorraine DeSalvo of Plaistow, NH, and Paul Porter, Jr. of Sandown, NH; brother of the late Marie Manganello; grandfather of Robert, Renee, Gregory, Peter, Jillian, Natalie, Christopher, and Brandon. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Ruth M. (Smith) Sullivan of East Boston died April 22 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 69 years old.
Born in Boston, the daughter of the late George E. and Ruth (St. Elmo) Smith, she was educated in Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1960.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she leaves her beloved husband, James F. Sullivan of East Boston, four loving daughters, Debra Larkin of Derry, NH, Danielle Internicola of Saugus, Jaymie Sullivan-Ellard of Everett, and Jill Sullivan of East Boston, 10 cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Jaymes, and Samantha Larkin, Rosaria, Lorenzo, Daniel, Ruth, and Matthew Internicola, James Sullivan, and Alexandria Sullivan-Ellard; three brothers, Gary Smith of Concord, NH, Thomas Smith of Sandown, NH and Kevin Smith of Portsmouth, NH, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George E. Smith Jr. and Karen A. Smith.

Dorothy A. DeCarlo of Gove Street, East Boston died at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea on April 25 after a long illness. She was 71 years old.
Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy (Wamness) and William Rogers. A resident of East Boston, she was employed as a clerk for Avis Rent a Car for many years.
She was the loving mother of David DeCarlo of Lowell and the dear sister of Edward Rogers of California, Roberta Kelleher of Winthrop and the late William Rogers. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
