East Boston Mens Hockey League kicks off its second season of spirited competition

The highly anticipated second season for the East Boston Mens Hockey League kicked off Tuesday evening, September 14th at the Porazzo Rink. Anyone who made it out to the rink for Tuesdays games were sure to be impressed with the skill and talent that was on display that evening and will be all year long. The game of the night saw the 113 Club take on Team Interbartolo in what was an amazing hockey game. The 113 Club jumped outfront early on key goals from Michael Burri, Mark Buttiglieri, Marc Lanzilli, and Carl Fiantago. Team Interbartolo were not to be denied as they stormed back with goals from Darrell Interbartolo, Jarred Chambers, David Chiaradonna, and Gerard Cioffi. On a key goal from Peter Hanlon the 113 Club never looked back and went on to defeat Team Interbartolo 9-7. For the 113 club Lanzilli (3goals, 1 assist), Michael Burri (2 Goals, 1 assist), and Peter Hanlon((1 goal, 3 assists) led the scoring attack.

For Team Interbartolo, Darrell Interbartolo(3 goals, 2 assists), and Gerard Cioffi(2 goals) led the way for Team Interbartolo.

Game 2 saw Urban Sun Tanning vs. Sound Decision in another one that went down to the wire with Urban Sun Tanning coming out on top 6-4.

Justin Mazzone lit the lamp four times for UST while Jeff Delpidio and Bobby O’Brien also pitched in with one tally. For Sound Decision it was a team effort as Dom DiMarzo, Jay Duca, Rch Kelley, and Jimmy Goggin all pitched in with solo tallies.

In Game 3 we had the boys from East Boston Yacht Club take on Team Bulla/Hayes with EBYC taking it to Team Bulla/Hayes 9-3. EBYC was led by Charlie Daniels who buried the biscuit on four seperate occasions, while Dante Arinella pitched in with 2, and Chris Sullivan also with 2. Vinny Schettino and Stephen Morrill did the scoring for Team Bulla/Hayes.

Come on down to the Porazzo Rink every Tuesday evening and catch a game or two! Games begin at 8pm and run until 11pm. Hope to see you all at the rink.
