Margaret Heffron

East Boston resident

Margaret (Savio) Heffron of East Boston died on January 3.

The beloved wife of the late William J Heffron, she was the devoted mother of George Heffron of East Boston, Patricia Falcone and her husband, Louis, of Worcester, William Heffron and his wife, AnnMarie, of East Boston; dear sister of Vincent Savio of Norwood and the late Clara Rezendes,Domenica Secatore, Amalia Simone and George A. Savio; cherished grandmother of Toni Anne St John, Michael Heffron, Denise Alley, Mark and David Falcone, Jack Heffron, Katie and Grace Margaret Heffron and is also survived by five adored great grandchildren and many fond nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Mass celebrating Mrs. Heffron’s life will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop Street, Winthrop on Thursday, January 7 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Mary Recca

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Mary (Amenta) Recca of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on December 29.

She was the wife of the late Angelo Recca; loving mother of Arlene Vargus of Lynn, Patricia Scanlon of Saugus and Joseph Recca of Stoughton; sister of one late brother and four late sisters; friend of the late Sal Alfonso; grandmother of six and great grandmother of four.

Funeral arrangements were by the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, Saugus. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.

 

Richard Giglio

Of Missouri, formerly of East Boston

Richard A. Giglio of Grandview, MO, formerly of East Boston, died on December 29.

He was a US Army veteran and a 25 year employee of the US Post Office.

He was the beloved husband of Elaine (McCurley-Schultz); devoted father of Nicholas Giglio of Missouri, AngelaRose Giglio of Illinois, Christina Giglio of Missouri and step-father of Kyle Schultz of Colorado; loving son of Rose (Giovanniello) and the late Angelo R. Giglio; dear brother of Theresa D. Giglio of Malden and Paul A. Giglio of East Boston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services in the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. (at Day Sq.) Michelina Coco

East Boston resident

Michelina (LaCorte) Coco of East Boston died on December 29.

She was the beloved wife of the late Carmello Coco; mother of Lynda and Michelle and her fiancé, Dominic; grandmother of Christopher, Jacquelyn, Koren, Derek and John; sister of Louis LaCorte and is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Founder and President of M&S Remodeling of Revere and La Vita Mia Restaurant of Saugus

Mario DeSimone of Saugus, formerly of Revere, died on December 29.

He was a past member of the Madonna Maria SS Addolorata and founder and President of M&S Remodeling of Revere and the La Vita Mia Restaurant of Saugus.

Mr. DeSimone was the beloved husband of the late Angela (DiLauro)DeSimone; devoted father of Gaetano "Danny" DeSimone and his wife, Lisa, of Saugus, Alfonsina Nardone and her husband, Stephen, of Wakefield, Diana Serra and her husband, David, of Saugus; dear brother of Carlo DeSimone and his wife, Silvia, of Italy and Antonio DeSimone and his wife, Lina, of Revere; cherished grandfather of Krystle, Christopher, Mario, Donnella, Angelina, Francesca, David, Antonia and Sabryna and is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Charity Berniece Regens

Charity Berniece (Day) Regens of East Boston died on December 22. She was 76 years old.

The beloved mother/mother-in-law of Jeannette and Ray Edwards of Boston, Joseph Light of Tennessee, Carol Hamilton of Florida, Stephen Regens of Boston, Christopher and Maryann Regens of Brockton, Heavear Regens of East Boston, Herrett Michael and Darlene Regens of Saugus, Hearear Michelle and George Norris of Lynn and the late Humphrey Regens, she also leaves 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild. She was the sister of Jean Paulette Day and Mary Day, both of Boston, Margaret Bonilla of Quincy, George P. Day of Boston and Perry Day of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.

Helen E. (Marcella) Bono of East Boston died at the Boston Medical Center on December 27. She was 81 years old.

She was an active member of the Grace Federated Church of East Boston.

The beloved wife of the late Peter A. Bono, she was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Charlotte (MacDonald) Marcella. She was the devoted mother of the late Peter A. Bono; dear sister of Marilyn Ford and Dolores Tennerini, both of East Boston, and the late Jean, Robert, Charles and Richard Marcella; adored grandmother of Amanda and Michelle Bono and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Raffaela M. "Rae" (Venuti) Murphy of Hyde Park and East Boston died on December 28.

A state employee for the Shattuck Hospital, she was the wife of the late Paul J. Murphy; daughter of the late Anthony Venuti and Margaret (Karagozian); loving mother of Paula J. Murphy of Marstons Mills and Michael P. Murphy BPD District 2 of Hyde Park; loving Nana of Lauren and Stephanie.
