On Saturday, March 14, the EBYBL wrapped up their season with an award ceremony. The day started with Lucca Buccella reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Melissa Forbes received an award for 10 Years of service, Louie Ortiz, who was a player 40 years ago received recognition for 30 years of service, and Tony Gallotto has coached for over 40 years. The players and coaches appreciate all of their efforts.
In addition, the league presented Peyton DiBiasio with a special recognition reward. She recently concluded her high school career at Saugus High as the school’s leading all time scorer with 1,700 points. She started her basketball career playing in the Ebybl as a Seven year old and through hard work and dedication became a tremendous player and more importantly person. In addition to her basketball accomplishments she is also a fine soccer player, track star, and an honor roll student. Peyton is the daughter of Ron and Jen DiBiasio who actually met playing in the EBYBL many years ago. Peyton’s Grandmother, Sheila has been a supporter of the League since 1980!
