Carmen DiNunzio

Of East Boston

Carmen DiNunzio of East Boston passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025 at the age of 68.

Carmen was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Frongillo) DiNunzio. He is survived by his loving siblings: Anthony, Lois and Sylvia DiNunzio, all from East Boston. He was the cherished uncle of Gia DiNunzio of East Boston, Louis DiNunzio and his wife of Stoneham, Nina DiNunzio and her husband of Bedford and three great nieces and a great nephew. Carmen was the long time partner of Denise Spagnuolo of the North End. He is also survived by his aunt, Constance Mason of East Boston and his uncle, Louis Fronglillo of Revere, as well as many loving cousins.

Family and friends will honor Carmen’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston, on Thursday, September 25 from 4 to 8 p,m. and again on Friday morning at 8:30  before leaving in procession to St. Leonard’s Church in the North End of Boston. Anthony Ventresca

Of East Boston

Anthony Ventresca of East Boston died on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The beloved son of the late Domenic and Rosa (Locasrato) Ventresca of East Boston, he was the beloved brother of Virginia Schoales and her husband, Gary of Winthrop and Joseph Ventresca and his wife, Sherri of Orlando, and their children, Patricia and Nicholas Ventresca.

Family and friends honored Anthony’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston, on Monday, September 22nd from 9 to 11 a.m. with an 11 a.m. prayer service in our serenity chapel. Rosaria “Rose” Gifford

She was kind, selfless, and compassionate, always putting the needs of others before her own

Rosaria “Rose” Tarbi Gifford, a lifelong resident of East Boston, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old.

Born on August 22, 1952, Rose was the cherished daughter of Salvatore and Edith Tarbi. She was the beloved wife of the late Randall Gifford and the devoted mother of the late Maranda Gifford. Rose is survived by her dear sister, Charlene Tarbi Farley and her husband, Greg as well as her two adoring grandsons who brought her endless joy. Rose’s heart was as big as her smile. She was kind, selfless, and compassionate, always putting the needs of others before her own. She welcomed people into her home, helped those who had no one else, and gave generously to the homeless and those in need. She lived her life with a spirit of love and service, touching countless lives with her warmth and generosity.

A successful businesswoman, Rose proudly owned and operated Crack and Crevice Cleaning Company. Beyond her work, she was a loyal friend to many. Her lifelong best friend, Lorraine Orlando, was cherished like a bonus sister, and together they shared countless memories and laughter. Family and friends will honor Rose’s life with a Funeral Mass at 11 a,m.  Monday, September 29, Saint Joseph – Saint Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley St., East Boston. Services will conclude with Rose being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
