Ward 1 Democratic Committee to Hold Annual Caucus on May 3

Special to the Times

The Ward 1 Democratic Committee will host its annual caucus on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Multipurpose Room (Room 145) at the Mario Umana Academy, 312 Border Street, East Boston, MA 02128.

The purpose of the caucus is to elect delegates to the 2025 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention and provide an opportunity for community members to hear directly from local elected officials. The event is open to the public and free to attend.

Only registered Democrats who reside in East Boston are eligible to run for delegate positions. The caucus is an important part of the democratic process and offers a chance for residents to play a direct role in shaping the party’s platform and priorities at the state level.

Local elected officials are expected to attend and speak, providing insight into key issues affecting the community and the broader political landscape.

“The caucus is an important opportunity for Democrats in East Boston to have their voices heard and help shape the direction of our party during a critical time,” said Ricardo Patrón, Chair of the Ward 1 Democratic Committee. “We encourage all interested Democrats in the neighborhood to attend, get involved, and consider running as a delegate.”
