Patricia Daly

July 27, 1951 ~ November 17, 2024

Patricia (Macrina) Daly, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 27, 1951, Patricia, known as Patty, grew up in East Boston, where she formed lifelong bonds with her friends and community. Family was her greatest joy and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. 

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Jim, of Winthrop; her son, Brandon, and his wife, Jessica, of Boynton Beach, FL; and her daughter, Lauren, and her husband, Jeremy Taylor, of Stoneham. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Devon, Piper, Samuel, William, and Ella, who were the light of her life. 

She is also survived by her siblings: Richard and his wife, Janet, of North Reading; Joseph and his wife, Diane, of Gray, ME; Marsha and her husband, David DiCesare, of East Boston; and Michael of East Boston. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister-in-law, Valerie and her husband, Richard Morgan, of Swampscott, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Martha Macrina of East Boston. 

Patricia will be remembered for her strong spirit, her incredible talent for bringing people together through food, and the beautiful way she made everyone around her feel valued and loved. 

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held in the spring to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Marie C. LeMoure

Her family was the center of her world

Marie C. (Mucci) LeMoure of Eagle Hill, East Boston, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years old.

Born on August 6, 1937, in East Boston, Marie was the devoted wife of the late Joseph LeMoure Jr. Together, they shared many cherished years of love and companionship. Marie was a proud mother to her three children: Joseph LeMoure III and his wife, Anna, Renee LeMoure and her partner; James Leggiardo and Stephen LeMoure. She was a cherished sister to Donna Marcou, Frank Mucci, and the late Lena Maggiore and Frances Pietrantonio.

Marie’s love extended beyond her children, as she was an adoring grandmother to Stephen LeMoure Jr., James Masciulli Jr., Jamie LeMoure, Janae Masciulli, Cameron LeMoure, Joseph LeMoure IV, and Paul LeMoure. She was also the proud great-grandmother to Elijah, Alani, Alexander, Lyhah, and Mila, who brought her immense joy.

Marie’s family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in every moment spent with them. She had a deep passion for life, enjoying travel, cruises, and bingo, as well as bowling, casino trips, and all the fun life had to offer. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends will honor Marie’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, today,  Wednesday, December 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. A funeral service in celebration of Marie’s life will be held today, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of the memorial home. Marie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Joseph at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mass General Hospital.

Marie’s legacy of love and warmth will live on through her family, and she will forever be in their hearts.

Gina Maria Cristallo

She touched many hearts and will be remembered forever

Gina Maria (Cenca) Cristallo, 85, passed away on December 10, 2024, after a long battle with cancer, leaving behind a family legacy.

Gina was born to Francesco and Maria Cenca on March 7, 1939, in Ariano, Italy. She was the first member of the family to come back to the United States via Ellis Island. She left her husband, Guerino Cristallo and daughter, Margherita in Italy while she made the journey alone. She was welcomed with open arms by her extended New England family members. Her husband and daughter made the journey shortly thereafter along with many of her siblings, parents, and other relatives behind her.

She was employed as a seamstress in the East Boston factory, Picarello’s, and then worked from home as a seamstress. She and the family owned and operated Rino’s Restaurant, Derry, N.H. for a few years as well as Cafe Napoli in East Boston for over 55 years.

She settled roots with her family in East Boston. For many decades, customers and friends were all family to her. To many people she came into contact with, she was considered a mother to them, often called “Ma” or “Nonna Gina.” She touched many hearts and will be remembered forever.

Gina’s passion was family, customers, friends, and her garden, as she was born with a green thumb. She was the matriarch of the Cristallo family. Gina leaves behind her dear son, Anthony Cristallo of Derry, NH, her son-in-law William Edmonds of Derry, NH,  her grandchildren: William F. Edmonds II of Derry, Guerino Nicholas Cristallo and Anthony William Cristallo Jr. of Somersworth NH, Kayla Buonopane of Atkinson, NH, Robert Buonopane of Revere, her sisters, Raimonda DePasquale and Rita Inglese of East Boston, her sister-in-law, Albina Grieci and husband, Dario of East Boston, her sister-in-law. Maria Cenca, her brother-in-law. Crescenzio Cristallo and his wife, Angelina of Ariano Irpino Italy, as well as a great number of nieces, nephews, and other cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Francesco and Maria Cenca of East Boston, her daughter, Margherita Cristallo Edmonds of Derry N.H., her father-in-law, Nicole Cristallo and his wife. Letizia of Ariano Irpino Italy, her sister, Giuseppina Losano and her husband, Vincenzo of Ariano Irpino Italy, her sister, Filomena Gammuto and her husband, Francesco of East Boston, her brother, Felice Cenca of Wilmington, her sister-in-law. Filomena Cristallo Inglese and husband, Carmen of Ariano Irpino Italy, her brother-in-law, Antonio Cristallo and his wife, Felicia of Sydney, Australia, her brother-in-law, Toruccio Cristallo and his wife, Roso of Latina Italy, her brothers-in-law, Agostino DePasquale and Antonio Inglese, both of East Boston.

Gina fought the battle hard. She waited for her son and told people I want to see my son. She waited for the grandchildren as well. When Gina saw her son on Friday, she said “Son” in Italian several times and then said, “take me.” She also kept hugging her grandson and said “I love you” to him.

Gina worked hard for the American dream. She has gone to rest with the Lord and to be with the rest of her family. We all love her and will miss her dearly.

Family and friends gathered at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston, on Friday, December 13th. and again on Saturday morning December 14th  before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Parish, East Boston, for a Funeral Mass celebrating her life. Bruno Victor Dello Iacono

January 8, 1945 ~ December 7, 2024

Bruno Victor Dello Iacono of East Boston passed away at his home on December 7, 2024 surrounded by his family while in hospice care from Care Dimensions Danvers, MA.

Born in the town and commune of Montemiletto in the province of Avellino, Campania, Italy, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Adelina (Censale) Dello Iacono, loving father of Anthony Dello Iacono and his companion, Stephanie Facchini of East Boston and Valentina Dello Iacono of East Boston; former husband to Giulia (Sirignano) Dello Iacono of East Boston; loving brother to the late Eva (Brogna) Dello Iacono of East Boston and brother to the late Valentina Dello Iacono of Montemiletto, Avellino.

Bruno came to the United Stated in 1963 and for forty years worked at the Boston shipyards in the area as a laborer and later worked for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center in the facilities department and retiring from there. Throughout his work, Bruno became well known to the co-workers and staff and within the East Boston community.  He was awarded and recognized as the employee of the year while employed at the EBNHC.

Bruno resided at the former Lyman School building on Gove Street where many friendships were formed and the family would also like to extend their gratitude to the many friends he made while Bruno lived there.  The family would also like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center Pace Program of East Boston for their devotion and care of Bruno.

Helen M. Pellecchia

Family was always her most important gift

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral for Helen M. (Luongo) Pellechia to be conducted from the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach Street, Revere, today, Wednesday, December 18th beginning at 8:30 a.m. She died on Wednesday, December 11th at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center following a brief illness. She was 92 years old. A Funeral Mass today at 10 a.m. will be celebrated in St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop immediately followed by Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Helen was a proud lifelong resident of East Boston. She was educated in Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1950.

Helen was a devoted mother of five children and she raised them with strong family values. She returned to the workforce in an administrative role for insurance companies throughout her working career.

Helen was a tremendous cook and enjoyed being with her family around her table for any occasion. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the casinos and having fun. Family was always the most important gift to her, and she made sure they knew it.

She was the loving mother of Pamela A. Console and her husband, Thomas of Winthrop, Jean Como and her husband, John of Florida, Joseph Pellecchia his wife, Regina of Medford, Paul Pellecchia and his wife, Kelly of Winthrop and the late Peter A. Pellecchia Jr.; the cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and great grandmother of six great grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late

Marino and Amalia Luongo; the dear sister of six late brothers and sisters: Annette Marcella, Carmella Luongo, Alfred Luongo, Grace Zuccaro, Frank Luongo and George Luongo and the longtime companion of the late Henry Saganov. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Alfonso DiPietro

Retired Member of Labor Union Local 22

Alfonso DiPietro, born October 17, 1931, in Apice (Benevento) Italy. Having lived most of his life in East Boston, Alfonso passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Wednesday, December 11th at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea.

Son of the late Filippo and Maddalena (Braccio) Di Pietro, he was the beloved husband of the late Assunta (Rosa) Di Pietro whom he married on April 23, 1955 in Mirabella Eclano, Italy.; loving father of Marisa Di Pietro of East Boston and Rita Di Pietro of Pisa, Italy; devoted grandfather of Lorenzo Lischi of Livorno, Italy. Alfonso is survived by his sisters-in-law Janet (Capprini) Rosa and Mary (Cutrona) Rosa; pre-deceased by brothers-in-law Pasquale “Pat” Rosa, and Prisco “Joe” Rosa. Alfonso was also pre-deceased by his brother, Antonio and his wife, Italia, of Acciaiolo (Pisa) Italy and his sister, Pasqualina and her husband, Virginio Minichiello of Nugola (Livorno) Italy. Alfonso is survived by his loving nieces and nephews: Tina (Rosa) and Carmine Ciampa of Kingston, NH, Anthony and Erika Rosa of Revere, Donna (Rosa) and Robert Charvat of Beverly,  Brenda Rosa and Pamela Brooks of South Hampton, NH, and Sandra (Rosa) Sacco of Saugus and also by his great nephew and nieces: Nicholas and Giana Sacco; Stefanie, Serina and Samantha Rosa and by his loving niece, Rosetta Minichiello, and her husband, Adriano of Nugola (Livorno) Italy.

Alfonso arrived from Italy on November 4, 1963, and settled in East Boston, where he and his family lived with the rest of their extended family for many years. He worked all his life in construction, with Labor Union Local 22, until retirement. Alfonso loved to dance and could be found at many of the popular dance spots in the area on a Friday, Saturday, or even a Sunday night, ready to dance the night away. Never one to drive, his other passion was walking around his beloved East Boston and he was able to get anywhere on foot, bus or train. He enjoyed a good meal and would often either be eating at his daughter Marisa’s house or eating out with her at a local restaurant. He also loved a good party, and dressing sharp, and attended many events and parties around East Boston. He always had a smile and a story and enjoyed talking and joking with people. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and his community.

Rose M. Demers

She leaves behind a family that loved her and honored her unconditionally and will forever be in their hearts

Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours on Friday, December 20th from  4 to 8 p.m. for Rose M. (Harris) Demers, who died on Sunday, December 15th at her home surrounded by her loved ones, following a very brief battle with Stage IV lung cancer. She was 64 years old.

A Funeral Service will be conducted in funeral home at 8 p.m. Interment will be held privately.

Rose was born on February 12th, 1960, in Chelsea. She was raised in East Boston, along with her four siblings. She was educated in Boston Public Schools and attended East Boston High School. Rose began working for the Marriot Hotel Corporation as a Housekeeper at the age of 16.

Her career has spanned 48 years and would have continued until her recent health diagnosis. Rose was a woman who was strong willed and determined, she battled this disease courageously.

She had an infinite love for her family, especially when it came to her grandchildren. Rose enjoyed shopping for anything, for anyone and any occasion. She was a selfless woman, and buying gifts for others, brought her great joy and fulfillment.

She leaves behind a family that loved her and honored her unconditionally and will forever be in their hearts.

She was the beloved daughter of Theresa J. “Terri” (Imbrescia) Harris of Revere and the late Wayne Harris, Sr.; the Loving mother of Richard W. Demers, Jr. and his wife, Hannah and Theresa M. Sasso and her husband, Matthew, all of Lynn, and Victoria L. Gayhart of East Boston; cherished grandmother of Angelina R. Sasso, Juliana Demers, Alexis M. Gaeta, Liliana T. Sasso, Lucia J. Sasso, Adriana R. Demers, Jordyn Demers, and Jaxson Demers; the treasured sister of Violet Harris of East Boston, Wayne Harris, Jr. and his wife, Madeline of Saugus, Christine Edwards and her husband, Richard of Saugus and the late Carmella Houghton and her husband, Wayne. Rose also spent many years with Gary Terrell of East Boston and her grandchildren affectionately called him “Papa Gary.” She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, both living and deceased.
