Louis Zirpolo

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Louis “Louie” J. Zirpolo, 86, of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away Sunday, September 12.

A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was the cherished son of the late Sofia (Massa) Zirpolo, the beloved husband of the late Emily (Schepici) Zirpolo and the late Josephine (Dorato) Zirpolo; loving father of Debbie Federico, Donna Leone and her husband, John, Philip Marquardo, Andrea Arsenault and her husband, Michael and Dineen DiFlumeri and her husband, Rob; adored grandfather of Amanda, Melissa, Johnny, Diana, Karissa, Bobby, Tyler, Nico and Dariana and cherished great-grandfather of Sienna, Cameron and Evan; caring brother of Margaret Gennari, Anthony “Junior” Zirpolo, Marion Zirpolo, Richard Zirpolo, Frank Zirpolo and the late Peter Zirpolo, Grace Celeste, John Zirpolo, Anna Dorato and Joseph Zirpolo.  He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Family and friends will honor Louie’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St, Revere

on Thursday, September 16    from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning before leaving in procession to St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church in East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. 

The Zirpolo family kindly encourages people to wear masks and practice social distancing while attending the services.

Carly Bebergal

Of Winthrop

Carly A. Bebergal of Winthrop passed away on September 8. 

The beloved daughter of Debra Mariano and Leonard of Winthrop and the late Eric Bebergal, she was the loving sister of Marissa Freitas and her husband, Jeremy, Diana Jenkins and her husband, Christopher; cherished granddaughter of Eileen Paolini and the late Carmen Paolini and Byron and Ruth Bebergal.  She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Family and friends honored Carly’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, (Orient Heights), East Boston, on Monday and again on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop, for a Funeral Mass celebrating Carly’s life. Mary Gaglione

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Mary E. (Hartley) Gaglione of Saugus, formerly East Boston, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13 at fifty-three years of age.

The beloved wife of Robert Gaglione, she was the loving daughter of Newton Hartley and Mary (Vento) Stroup, devoted mother of Robert Gaglione and Brianna Gaglione, both of Saugus and dear sister of Jennie Manning of New Hampshire, Debbi Moore of Lowell, Toni Correa of Malden and Anthony Hartley of New Hampshire. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

 Mary was a longtime member of Central Park Lanes in East Boston.

 Family and friends will honor Mary’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston, on Monday, September 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. for a prayer service in our Serenity Chapel. Services will conclude with Mary being laid to rest at Saint Michael Cemetery, Boston.

Lillian Borgosano

Of East Boston

Lillian C. Borgosano of East Boston passed away on September 8 at the age of 80. 

Born in Boston on April 8, 1941 to the late Gaetano and Mary (O’Leary) Borgosano, she was the cherished mother of John Borgosano Sr. of Woburn, dear sister of Mary M. Borgosano of Revere and the late Anthony Borgosano and his late wife, Diana, cherished grandmother of John Borgosano Jr., Danielle Borgosano and Frankie Borgosano and adored great grandmother of Lianna Borgosano.  She is also survived by her loving nieces Brenda and Diana Borgosano.

Lucille Ferruzzi

Of Marshfield, formerly of Revere

Lucille (Steele) Ferruzzi of Marshfield, formerly of Revere, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 11 at the age of 100. 

Born in Henderson, KY to the late Thomas and Iris (Madden) Steele, she was the beloved wife of the late Albert A. Ferruzzi, devoted mother of Laura Haskell and her husband, Russ of Norwell and James Ferruzzi and his wife, Donna of Florida; cherished grandmother of Monique Sullivan and her husband, Kevin of Scituate, Christopher Mancini and his wife, Stacie and  Christine Walsh and her husband, Tim, all of California,  Amanda Pedecine and her husband, Christopher of New Jersey, Andria Ferree of Florida, Kimberly Ferruzzi and her husband, Matteo Migliori of London and the late Thomas Ferruzzi; adored great grandmother of 13 and dear sister of James Steele and his wife, Joan of Texas and the late Marvin, Ilene, Laura, Thomas and Bobby.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Thursday, September 16 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere at 12 noon.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ann Marie Raffaele

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Ann Marie (Toscano) Raffaele of Revere,  formerly of East Boston, passed away on September 11 at the age of 60. 

 Born in Boston on July 22, 1961 to Maryann (Barone) and the late Vincent Toscano, she was the wife of the late Carmen Raffaele, cherished mother of Christopher Raffaele and his wife, Rachel of Lynn and the late John Paul Raffaele; loving wife of 25 years to Alphonse Marano of Revere, adored grandmother of Christopher and Vincent Raffaele, dear sister of Karen Toscano of Pepperell and the late Vincent Toscano and beloved aunt to Kristina Pereira, James Toomey and the late Anthony Toomey.  She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and countless friends.
