HVNA to Meet on Sept. 9

The Harbor View Neighborhood Association which usually meets on the first Monday of the month will not meet on Monday, Sept. 2, due to the Labor Day holiday.

The September meeting instead will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Brooke Charter School. Hope to see you there. Thank you, HVNA Board.

100 Byron Street 1st Presentation by Attorney Jeff Drago to build a single family home, 2.5 stories on a vacant lot.This is the Forbes family requesting to build to keep the family close. (25 minutes)

117 Coleridge St./Short St UPDATE by Attorney Jeff Drago for Mr. Ricupero. Last presented as a 4 story, 23 Unit, 21 parking space project.(15 minutes)

37 Horace Street 3rd presentation and VOTE by Attorney Richard Lynds for owner Joseph Trichilo. Demolish existing three-family home to build a 9 Unit structure with nine parking spaces (25 minutes)

41-47 Horace Street 2nd presentation and VOTE by Attorney Richard Lynds for owner Joseph Trichilo. Seeking approval for roof decks to be installed  on two, 2 family houses under construction and to build a bedroom and bathroom in the basement for the first floor units in each building. (15 minutes)

22 Wordsworth Street 2nd presentation and VOTE by Attorney Lynds to change existing 2 family to a 3 family with structural changes and occupancy change. (15 minutes)

Grace Church News and Events

Grace Church Federated is an Episcopal/United Church of Christ church located at 760 Saratoga St. in East Boston.  All are welcome.  Please join us for Sunday morning worship at 9:30 a.m., followed by a coffee hour.  We also have a food pantry on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until noon in the church basement.  There are a number of ways you can help us to serve East Boston.  Volunteer at or contribute to the food pantry.  Sing with the Festival of Lessons and Carols choir.  Bring a dish to the monthly Sunday evening community suppers.  Participate in the Sunday worship service.  Help with SundaySchool.  Visit the Grace Church web site at www.gracechurcheastie.org or call the church at 617-569-5358 for more information.

EBHS 50th Reunion on Sept. 28

The East Boston High Class Of 1969  will hold its 50TH reunion on Sept. 28 at the Winthrop Elks Lodge, 191 Washington Ave Winthrop, from 7 -11 p.m..  The cost is  $50 per person.
