Janet Pellegrino

Of Boston, Formerly of East Boston

Janet (Coolidge) Pellegrino of Boston, formerly of East Boston, passed away on June 29 at the age of 65.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Roscoe and Sarah (Pestell) Coolidge, beloved wife of Francis “Chippa” Pellegrino. dear sister of Joan Jagiello, Barbara Romano, Christine Greenwood, Marian DiLuigi, Ralph Coolidge and the late John, Alfred, David and Roscoe Coolidge, Marie Pava and Patricia Lavigne. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Janet’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere, on Tuesday, July 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to St. Anthony’s Church in Revere, for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her honor at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Adele Raines

Of East Boston

Adele (Keyes) Raines of East Boston passed away on June 30.

She was the devoted mother of Barbara DiChiaro and her husband, Anthony and Raymond Harris, all of East Boston, Gregory Raines of Vermont and the late Maureen Harris and Scott Harris; dear sister of the late Lorraine Guimond, adored grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of seven.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, all services are private. A memorial mass will be held at a later date and announced through www.ruggieromh.com.

Patricia LaBella

Of Saugus, Formerly of East Boston

Patricia (Mazzone) LaBella of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 28. 

She was the beloved wife of Gerardo LaBella, loving mother of Jason Gerard LaBella and his wife, Savanna of Haverhill, cherished daughter of the late Leonard and Gertrude Mazzone and dear sister of Donna Arinella and Rocky Mazzone, both of East Boston , Mario Mazzone of Winthrop and Marc Mazzone of Lynnfield. She is also survived by one loving granddaughter, Cyra T. LaBella. 

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Mass in celebration of Patricia’s life on Friday, July 5 at 12:30 p.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere. John Fougere

A Staple at the Montmorenci Street Block Party and Past MASSDOT Employee

John L. Fougere, a lifelong resident of Orient Heights East Boston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness at the age of 70.

John was a lifelong resident in East Boston, an active member of the East Boston community and a staple at the Annual Montmorenci Street Block Party. He was a past employee of MASSDOT. He will be missed by all.  

He was the beloved son of the late John O. and Phyllis (Dattoli) Fougere, dear brother of Denise Wilson and her husband, Larry and Bella Orlandella and her husband, John Sr., all of East Boston, cherished uncle of Scott Wilson, Brad Wilson, Lori Newman, John Orlandella Jr. and Michelle Maggio and adored great-uncle of Alex, Lucas, Sam, Finn, Killian, Jackson, Cameron, Jay and Ryan. He is also survived by many loving cousins, family members and friends. 

Family and friends will honor John’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston, on Friday, July 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. before leaving in funeral procession to St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church, Ashley St., East Boston for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life. Services will conclude with John being laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. 

Joan Lewis

Of East Boston

Joan Lewis of East Boston passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 26 at the age of 59.

The loving daughter of the late William and Alberta Lewis, she was the devoted mother of Jennifer Baiungo and her husband, Matthew of Nevada, dear sister of Andrea Armata and her husband, Michael of East Boston, loving hehe of Matthew, Madelyn and Mason, adored aunt of Nicole, Michael, and Matthew Armata and great-aunt of Christopher, Cameron, Nicholas and Skylar. Family and friends will honor Joan’s life by gathering at Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston on Tuesday, July 2 at 10 a.m. for a memorial mass. Services will conclude with Joan being laid to rest with her parents at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor can be made to Care Dimensions at  www.caredimensions.org/giving.
