The East Boston High School swim team has had a tough season record wise. They currently stand at 0-7. The Aquajets lost a lot of close meets this season but not because of a lack of effort by this young group of talented swimmers. The Aquajets do not have the numbers they had last season nor do they have those record-breaking swimmers. Also, the team will not have any swimmers in the sectional championship this year. Nonetheless Coach Arinella is very confident about the future of this team. He told us, “There are a number of young and talented freshmen and sophomores that will make a lot of noise in the upcoming seasons. They have worked tirelessly to perfect their strokes and they already know how to compete. Record wise we haven’t had much success this season because of the demanding Division One schedule we’ve had to swim and the loss of fourteen very talented, record-breaking seniors from last year.” These young swimmers have laid a great foundation for the future of the Eastie Aquajets. We look forward to honoring our seniors at the Latin Academy Meet on Friday, January 26th at Paris Street Pool at 3:30 p.m.
