Antoinette Giardina

Of Lynn, formerly of East Boston

Antoinette Giardina of Lynn, formerly of East Boston, died peacefully on January 27.

The loving daughter of the late Giacomo and Josephine Giardina, she was the dear sister of James Giardina and his wife, Karen and the late Guitano, Carmello, Fannie and Francis Giardina. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Antonette’s life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston on Thursday, February 2 from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a prayer service in our Serenity Chapel at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with Antoinette being laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. William ‘Billy’ Palladino

Member of the Civic Club and Orient Heights Yacht Club

William A. “Billy” Palladino of East Boston passed away peacefully on January 26.

A member of the Civic Club and Orient Heights Yacht Club, he was the beloved husband of Marie Ann (Faugno) Palladino; devoted father of Christina Atkinson and her husband, Ronald Jr. of Saugus, and William Palladino Jr. of East Boston; dear brother of Rocco Palladino and his wife, Sandra of Winthrop, and Lorraine McCarthy and her late husband, Dennis of Stoughton and adored grandfather of Danielle and Ashley. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston. Billy was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In honoring Billy’s memory and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905. Frank Russo

Musician and retired hotel industry employee

Frank Russo of East Boston passed away on January 25 after a long illness. He was 88 years old.

Frank followed in his father’s footsteps and enjoyed his career as a musician. He later enjoyed employment in the hotel industry for more than 25 years.

The loving husband for 58 years of M. Gloria Russo, he was the loving father to Cindy Russo of Maine and the late Frank Russo Jr. of East Boston; beloved son of the late Michelina (Covino) and Alessi Russo and dear brother of Sarah Neal of Arizona and the late Mary Soriano of East Boston and Michael Russo of East Boston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John Burke, Jr.

Long time Massachusetts State Senate Court Officer

John H. Burke, Jr. of  East Boston, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully on January 31 surrounded by his loving family.

He was a past member of the Beachmont VFW, a member of the Air National Guard for over six years and past court officer Mass. State Senate for over 42 years.

He was the beloved husband of over 52 years of  Frances L (Fronduto) Burke; devoted father of Karen Burke of East Boston and John L Burke and his wife, Karen of Connecticut; dear brother of Patricia Debra of Foxboro, cherished brother in law of Louis Fronduto and his wife, Linda of Lynnfield and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor John’s life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., (Orient Heights) East Boston on Friday,  February 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to St John the Evangelist Church in Winthrop for a Funeral Mass in celebration of John’s life at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with John being laid to rest in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Teodoro Fusco

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Teodoro Fusco of Revere, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully on January 26.

He was the beloved husband of Mafalda (Augellone) Fusco; loving father of John Fusco and his wife, Mariregis of Stoneham, Terry MacDonald and her husband, Gary of Norwood and Albert Fusco and his wife, Fran of Westwood; cherished grandfather of Alanna, Timothy, Andrea, Michael, Nicholas and Christopher and dear brother of the late Anthony Fusco, Giovanna Colarossi, Lucia Rinaldi, Peter Fusco, Donata Fusco, Pasqua Spacone and Giovanni Fusco.

Family and friends will honor Teodoro’s life by gathering  today, Wednesday, February 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., (Orient Heights) East Boston immediately followed by a funeral procession to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere for a Funeral Mass in celebration of Teodoro’s life at 12 noon. Services will conclude with Teodoro being entombed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations in Teodoro’s memory may be made to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or The Lighthouse Nursing Care Center, 204 Proctor Ave., Revere, MA 02151.

Yolanda Zadkovich

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Yolanda (Grgurovic) Zadkovich of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died peacefully on January 26.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vinko Zadkovich; dear sister of Giuseppe Grgurovic and his wife ,Yolanda and the late Pavle Grgurovic, Danica Vukosa, Anka Zekanovich and Zorka Grgurovic. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Yolanda was laid to rest with her beloved husband in Woodlawn Cemetery, may they both rest in peace.
