EBNHC Supports Local Seniors

The Elder Service Plan of the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center made a donation this past week of a new Defibrillator to the Robert A. DeLeo Winthrop Senior Center.  Steven Snyder, Vice President of Development for the Health Center, presented the donation to both Speaker of the House Bob DeLeo and Director of the Center, Nancy Williams.

“This is a gift we hope that you never have to use, but we believe that it should provide some security should you ever need it” said Snyder.  “The Elder Service Plan of the Health Center has and will always be a great partner to the Senior Center and the town of Winthrop in general” added Elder Service Plan Representative Patricia Diaz.

Speaker DeLeo expressed his thanks to the Health Center and his excitement over the new Winthrop Neighborhood Health facility opening this July.

“We appreciate the great support we get from the Health Center throughout the year”, said Speaker DeLeo, “and are glad to be working together, especially with our great Senior Center, to keep our community as healthy as it can be.”
