Felix Sordello

Retired machinist; veteran of two wars

Felix Sordello of Revere, formerly of East Boston and Keene NH, died on November 28 at the Bedford VA Hospital.

 Felix served in the US Coast Guard in two wars – World War II and the Korean Conflict. Before retirement, he worked many years as a machinist at Boston Lockport.

Born in East Boston, the  son of the late Raffaele and Elena (Pezzano) Sordillo he was  the beloved husband of the late Lena (DiLuzio); devoted father of David of Atkinson, NH, Christopher and his wife, Lisa of Wakefield, and Paul of Haverhill; loving grandfather of Matthew, Alexander, Daniel, Alena and Nicholas; dear brother of John Sordillo of East Boston and the late Nicoletta Kenney, Ralph Sordello and Arthur Sordello. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere on Friday, December 4 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Drive, Suite 202, Cambridge, MA 02140. John McDonald

Of East Boston

John J. McDonald of East Boston died on November 24.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Ricupero) McDonald Russo; dear brother of Alice Beamer of Brockton, Sharon McDonald of East Boston and the late Paul McDonald and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Gertrude ‘Girtie’ Bianchi

Of Wareham, formerly of East Boston

Gertrude “Girtie” (DiFiore) Bianchi of Wareham, formerly of East Boston, passed away on November 30.  She was 95 years old.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Michelina (Giardino) and Luigi DiFiore; beloved wife of the late Frank J. Bianchi; loving sister of the late Frances Piazza, Mary McCarrick, Theresa Welburne and Nicholas, Louis and Fr. Christopher DiFiore, OFM and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joseph Blaze Tuttavilla

Worked in the restaurant and function facility business

Joseph Blaze Tuttavilla of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on November 29.

Born and raised in East Boston and a US Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean Conflict,  Joe worked many years in the restaurant and function facility business.

He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia R. (Molinaro); devoted father of Kim Tuttavilla, Michael and his wife, Michelle, Mark and his wife, Maureen and Mia Tuttavilla and her fiancé, Andrew Wilson; dear brother of Rose Stilla of Worcester and the late Louis, Frank and Vincenza D’Amico; cherished grandfather of Michael, Andrea and Mark. He is also survived by many loving nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be in the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons- Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere on Thursday, December 3 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. followed by a Memorial Prayer Service at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
