Gertrude ‘Trudy’ Aery

Of East Boston

Gertrude M. “Trudy” Aery of East Boston passed away peacefully on November 22 in her 90th year.

She was the loving daughter of the late Forrest and Adeline (Raffo) Aery, dear sister of the late Irene and beloved cousin of Mary Goddard of Malden as well as many other cherished cousins.

Family and friends will honor Gert’s life by gathering on Wednesday, November 25 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston before leaving in procession to St. Joseph St. Lazarus Church, East Boston for a funeral mass in celebration of Gertrude’s life at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with Gertrude being laid to rest in Woodlawn cemetery .In honoring Gertrude, memorial donations may be made to Monastery of St Clare, 920 Centre St., Jamica Plain 02130. Francis Viola

Of East Boston

Francis M. Viola of East Boston passed away peacefully in the Don Orione Nursing Home on November 16 after a brief illness.

He was the devoted father of Albert F. Viola of East Boston; dear brother of the late Marygrace Frangolini, loving uncle of Pat Frangolini and Josephine Frangolini.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Francis’ life was held on November 19 in the Most Holy Redeemer Church, East Boston and he was laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Daniel ‘DJ’Hunter III

Of East Boston

Daniel J. “DJ” Hunter III of East Boston died on November 19 at the age of 35.

He was the devoted husband of Lisa (Hunter); beloved son of Susan Swan and the late Daniel Hunter Jr.; adored father of Daniel Hunter IV and the dear brother of James P. Hunter. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will honor DJ’s life by gathering in the chapel of the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Saturday, November 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. – the gathering, a prayer service in celebration of DJ’s life, will be held in the funeral home chapel. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Meridian House Recreation Fund, 408 Meridian St., East Boston 02128.
