Rose Catena

Of East Boston

Rose M. (Russo) Catena of East Boston died in Saugus on October 14.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Catena; loving mother of Desi Catena and his wife, Maureen of Wilmington, Mark Catena of Saugus, Kim Vitale and her husband, John of East Boston and Gale Fabiano and her late husband, Joseph of Revere; dear sister of Richard Russo of Jamaica Plain and Emmanuel Russo of Lynnfield and is also survived by six loving grandchildren: Robert, Joseph, Rachel, Adam, Scott and Chris; three loving great grandchildren and her loving dog Buddy.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Jason Ciulla

Of East Boston

Jason Ciulla of East Boston died on October 17.

He was the beloved son of Sharon Cabral and her husband, Tom of East Boston; loving father of Mariah and Jason, Jr. ; dear brother of Joseph Ciulla of East Boston; dear companion of Miranda McHugh of Watertown; cherished grandson of Marie Ciulla of East Boston and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Antonio Macias-Amecua

Of East Boston, formerly of Mexico

Antonio Macias- Amecua of East Boston, formerly of Tuxcueca, Jalisco, Mexico died on October 22.

He was the beloved husband of Bertha Ortiz; father of Maria Macias and Juan Macias, both of East Boston, Miguel Macias of Revere and Ana Alvarez of East Boston. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Magrath Funeral Home, East Boston. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Filippo ‘Phil’ Russano

Merchant Marine; Bethlehem Steel Employee

Filippo ‘Phil’ Russano of Revere, formerly of East Boston, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 18. He was 86 years old.

He was a former Merchant Marine and worked for many years at Bethlehem Steel in East Boston. At his request, services were private.

David J. “DJ” Dillon of East Boston passed away suddenly on October 22.

He was the beloved son of David and Sharon (Campanella) Dillon; loving brother of Michael Dillon and his wife, Deanna and Derek Dillon of East Boston; cherished grandson of Camille Campanella and her late husband, Bart of East Boston and the late Frank and Olga Dillon; dear nephew of Doris Vecchia, John Dillon and Renee Campanella.

Family and friends will honor David’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston today, Wednesday, October 29 at 9 a.m. before leaving in funeral procession to the Sacred Heart Church, Brooks Street, East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in his honor at 10 a.m. Committal Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to the Nashoba Learning Group, 10 Oak Park Dr., Bedford, MA. 01730, Att. Kathy Romeo.
