Any time 13 local seniors in high school receive scholarships from a local organization as they prepare to go to college in the fall is a terrific occasion to celebrate and to acknowledge.
This is exactly what occurred recently when the local Kiwanis Club headed by Edward Coletta, made its annual K-Trust Scholarship awards at a dinner held at Spinelli’s in East Boston.
Those who were honored for their academic achievement were: Jarrett Ethridge, Jacqueline Del Muto, Christopher Frangolini, Anthony Ohman, Simon Ngo, William Yepes, Markeljana Mesi, Steven Vallante, Alicia Restrepo, Janet Miranda, Brenda Figueroa, Darlene Chavarria and Katerina Collado.
May the wind always be at your back as you go out into the world.
And to the local Kiwanis – thank you for yet another generous gesture to the young people of this neighborhood advancing their education.
