Gino Meucci

Orient Heights resident

Gino G. Meucci of Orient Heights East Boston, formerly of the West End, died peacefully surrounded by his family on May 3 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was 77 years old.

A US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was the beloved husband of Alice (Gravallese) Meucci with whom he shared 51 years of marriage; loving father of Elaine Flaherty and her husband, Bill, of Soneham and Linda Baumann and her husband, John, of New Hampshire; dear brother of Agnes Pluto of Billerica, Robert of Brockton, Richard Woburn and the late Antonio, Amadeo, Domenic an Angelo Meucci. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and faithful friends.

His funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere, Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church, Ashley Street, East Boston at 10 a.m. Family and friends may visit today, Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Arthur Venuti

Owned Warehouse Carpet Sales of Medford.

Arthur Venuti of Bridgewater, formerly of Medford and East Boston, died peacefully at home on May 5, comforted by his family.

He was the site manager and part-owner of Warehouse Carpet Sales in Medford for more than 25 years.

Born in the North End of Boston on November 10, 1925, to the late Michele and Josephine (Sacco) Venuti, he was the husband of the late Mary (Deleo) Venuti and is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Masaitis Venuti, of Bridgewater. He was the loving father of Arthur and Josephine Venuti of Worcester, Jane and Mark Tontodonato of Methuen, Marjorie and Bruce Williams of Wilbraham, Robert and Michele Powers of Monroe, CT, and Kimberley Brakken of Bridgewater; loving brother of Lena Perrachi of Malden and Phyllis King of Medford, and the late Charles Venuti and Emanuel Venuti. He will be missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His Funeral will be held from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater today, Wednesday, May 11 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church, 660 North Main St., Raynham, at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Rose Christopher

Rose L. Christopher of East Boston died on May 5.

She was the mother of Jonathan R. Christopher and his longtime companion, Deborah Peterson, of Northfield; sister of the late Joseph Christopher and Norma Madden; grandmother of Adam and Joshua Christopher; great-grandmother of Natalia Christopher and is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Angelina Deeb

Angelina (Amorose) Deeb of East Boston died on May 2.

The beloved wife of more than 63 years to George, she was the devoted mother of Elizabeth Deeb of East Boston, Thomas Deeb and his wife, Olga, of Revere; cherished grandmother of Kerri Ann Deeb and her mother, Jolene, of East Boston; dear sister of Rico Amorose of East Boston, and the late Pasquale Amorose, Carmella “Dolly” Muellar, Sidney and Joseph Amorose. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Mazzarella Memorial Home, (Orient Heights) East Boston. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosemarie Massa

Winthrop resident

Rosemarie A. (Lanzi) Massa of Winthrop, formerly of Boston, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on May 8 after a long illness. She was 68 years old.

Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Alessandrina (Cataldo) and Louis Lanzi, she lived in the North End of Boston prior to moving to Winthrop 46 years ago. She was a longtime employee of New England Telephone, a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a member of the Point Shirley Associates.

She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Massa, loving mother of Michelle McCarthy and her husband, Sean Brown, Anthony and his wife, Gina Massa, Sandra and her husband, Timmy Alibozek, and Robert Jr. and his wife, Christina Massa, all of Winthrop; devoted grandmother of Patrick, Nick, Taylor, Devin, Gabriella, AJ, Amelia and Bobby; dear sister of the late Paul Lanzi and  his wife, Cathalina, Joan Griffin, Lauretta Noe and her husband, Santo, Louis Lanzi and his wife, Barbara, and the late Joseh Lanzi. She is also survived by many, many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be conducted from  the Ernest P. Caggiano & Son – O’Maley Funeral Home, 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop today, Wednesday, May 11 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Belle Isle Section of Winthrop Cemetery.
