Anneliese Barletta

Anneliese (Meissner) Barletta of Chelsea, formerly of East Boston, died on February 20.

Mrs. Barletta worked at the East Boston Social Center.

She was the beloved wife of Phil Barletta with whom she shared 58 years of marriage; loving mother of Evelyn Auld and her husband, John, Donna Saraceno and her husband, Robert and Lisa Tracia, all of Saugus; cherished grandmother of Erica Rago, Stephen Apicco, Christopher and Robert Saraceno Jr. and Nicole Tracia.

Longtime Jordan Marsh employee

Anne B. (Masiello) Trovato of Revere died on February 9 at home. She was 93 years old.

She was a long time employee in the Musical Records Department of Jordan Marsh.

She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Sr.; devoted mother of John A. Jr. of New Hampshire, Barbara White Goldstein and her husband, William, and Joanne Trovato, all of Revere; dear sister of the late Anthony Masiello, Jennie Pizzi, Phillip Masiello, Olympia Indelicato and her husband, George, Lena Palmieri and her husband, Enrico, Valentino Masiello and his surviving wife, Stella; loving grandmother of Robert White, Barbara Walker and her husband, Michael, Walter White, Michael Trovato and his fiancé, Johanna Janka, and the late Christopher White; great grandmother of Michael Walker IV, John and Jake Walker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rose Marie (Covino) “Chickie” Parisi of Tewksbury, formerly of East Boston, died on February 19.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Parisi Sr.; devoted mother of Rosemarie “Marie” Dingman and her husband, Dennis, of Panama City Beach, Florida, Margaret “Peggie” Eye and her husband, Thomas, of Merritt Island, Florida, Joseph M. Parisi Jr. and his wife, Katie, of Lowell and Christine Mazza and her husband, Salvatore “Sal” of Salem, N.H.; dear sister of Josephine Ruggiero and her husband, Joseph Sr., of East Boston, Damiano Pignato and his wife, Karen, of Florida, Mary Carrozza and her husband, Robert, of East Boston, and the late Patricia Pignato; cherished grandmother of Carrie Anne Jenkins and her husband, Scott, Michael Eye and his wife, Kimberly, Bryan Fowler, Sara Bruce and her husband, Colby, Jennifer Fowler, Joseph Parisi III and Joshua Mazza; adored great grandmother “GG” of Max and Brody Jenkins and Campbell and Morgan Eye and loving niece of Joseph and Katherine Oliveri of East Boston. She is also survived by her many fond cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Her Funeral will be held from the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury today, Wednesday, Februrary 23 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial in celebration of her life at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Rose Salton

Beloved school lunch mother

Rose M. (Mirasolo) Salton, formerly of East Boston, died in Revere on February 16. She was 88 years old.

Mrs. Salton retired after 50 years of service as a Lunch Mother with the City of Boston School Department, where she was beloved by the children she served.

She was the wife of the late Franklin “Salty” Salton; cherished mother of Elizabeth A. Salton and Edward F. Salton, Sr. and his wife, Brenda, and devoted grandmother of Edward F. Salton, Jr. and Christopher M. Salton, all of Revere; dear sister of Leo Mirasolo and his wife, Phyllis, of Revere, Christopher Mirasolo and his wife, Connie, and Mary Masse, all of Wakefield, and the late Joseph F., Frank and Vincent Mirasolo, Anna Rappa, Jennie Arena and Lena Bouchard. She is also lovingly survived by her sisters-in-law, Rose Mirasolo of Revere and Josephine Mirasolo of East Boston and many caring nieces and nephews.

Ronald Nigro

Long employed at United Paper Co. of East Boston

Ronald G. Nigro of Lowell died on February 12. He was 71 years old.

Born in Boston on August 5, 1939, a son of the late Giro and Gilda (Imbrici) Nigro of East Boston, he attended Boston schools and was a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross.

He was employed for many years in the family business, the United Paper Company of East Boston. A proud veteran of the US Navy, he served aboard the USS Lowry. He enjoyed visiting museums, had an appreciation for fine works of art, a passion for reading and was a frequent patron of the Pollard Memorial Library. He enjoyed good food, especially Italian Food and was a very friendly, social man who made many friends during his time in Lowell. He was a proud member of the Lowell Veteran’s Community Center for many years. For the past 20 years, he has been a resident of the Cunningham Community Care Home, where he leaves many dear friends.

His survivors include a brother, Jerry Nigro and a sister, Barbara Nigro, both of Florida, and a niece, Shylah Nigro of New Hampshire. He loved his family and his close friends at the Cunningham Community Care Home very much.

Family and friends are invited to his Funeral Service today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, off Connery Avenie, Bourne. There will also be a Memorial Mass on Thursday, March 3 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veteran’s Hospital, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA. Ida (Blandino) Curzi of East Boston died on February 17.

The beloved wife of the late Emilio Curzi, she was the loving mother of Sandra Curzi and her husband, Jerry Twomey, of Winthrop, Dennis Curzi and his wife, Colette DiGenio, of East Boston, Richard Curzi and his wife, Nancy McCabe, of Belmont and Barbara Curzi of East Boston; cherished grandmother of Lucia and Nina Colombaro, Roxanne, Michael “Ricky”, Rachel, Laura and Bridget Curzi; great-grandmother of five; dear sister of Josephine Micciulla and her husband, Carmine, of Revere and the late Phyllis Porcello, James, Salvatore, Rocco and Carmella Blandino. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Pasquale J. “Yanno” Faretra of Peabody, formerly of East Boston, died on February 17 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was in his 58th year.

He was the beloved husband of Rita (Levasseur) Faretra; devoted father of Lisa Kieran of Wilmington and Ilia Faretra of Peabody; loving son of Marie “Chickie” (Falzarano) and the late Pasquale F. Faretra; dear brother of the late John Faretra; adored grandfather of Antonia, Isabella, and Lex Kieran and is also survived by his many cherished aunts and uncles.

Joseph Lanzo Jr.

Formerly of East Boston

Joseph J. Lanzo Jr. of Salem, NH died February 15 at Merrimack Health and Rehab Center, Methuen. He was 67 years old.

He grew up in East Boston, the son of the late Concetta (Cozzo) and Joseph J. Lanzo, Sr. and owned and operated D’Aldo’s Hair Salon in Beverly for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time at his lake house.

He was a devoted father and loved spending time with his daughter, Candace Lanzo of Haverhill, his son, Nicholas DeRosa of Salem, NH; his brother, Robert Lanzo of Florida and his grandson, Maxwell DeRosa.

Garrett and his wife, Yoncha,  and Patrick Garrett and his wife, Karen, all of Derry, NH; cherished grandmother of Michael R. Garrett and his wife, Alisha, of Rockwall, TX, Airman Spec. Stephen D. Garrett, USAF of Arkansas, Briana L., Maryann C. and Sarah E. Garrett, all of Derry, NH; dear sister of Roy Coscia of East Boston.
