In his last season as head coach of the The East Boston High School football team, Coach John Sousa got another present last Friday night as the Jets easily cruised by Madison Park 29-0 to clinch the North Title.
The Jets also extended their win streak to 8 and are now 8-1 on the season.
Eastie Stanley Greene scored twice during the shutout while the Jets star player Brandon Amodeo, who scored four touchdowns in the past two games, added another TD to his resume.
Greene scored his first touchdown in the first quarter on a 4-yard run. The Jets did not score again until the third when Greene had another four yard run.
Amodeo had another impressive run with a 35-yard run into the endzone in the fourth quarter.
Amodeo’s TD was followed up by a 30-yard interception by Stephen Lockwood for the Jets’ last score of the game.
Eastie will take on South Boston during the annual Eastie-Southie rivalry game at White Stadium.
