Alice (Dente) Pagliaro of Revere, formerly of Orient Heights East Boston, died on November 8. She was in her 92nd year.

She was the beloved wife of Santo Pagliaro with whom she shared 69 years of marriage; loving mother of Steven Pagliaro and his wife, Carol; dear sister of Albert Dente of Revere, Virginia Cieri of Saugus, Mary Basile of Stoneham, and the late Josephine Gravallese, Marie "Nellie" Bataglia, Rose DeFranzo and Alphonse Dente; cherished grandmother of Kara DiGiacomo and her husband, Anthony, and Kristofer Pagliaro; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Of Saugus, formerly of East Boston

Arthur W. Venuti of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on November 8.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of the late Flora (Marotto) Venuti; loving father of Arthur A. Venuti of Saugus; dear brother of Michael of East Boston, Victoria Conway of Revere, the late Evelyn Britt, Frank, Ann, Tony, Vigilio, Victor, Harry and Amando Venuti and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

James Ciccarello of East Boston died on November 8.

A past member of the Orient Heights Civic Club, he was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Zirpolo) Ciccarello; the devoted father of Deborah Ciccarello of Lynn, James Ciccarello and his partner, Jeanne, of Quincy, Joseph Ciccarello and his wife, Adeline, of Melrose and Donna Matarazzo and her husband, Steven, of Salem; dear brother of Frank of Woburn, Joseph of Medford and Josephine of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews

Peter Ciampi Sr.

Of Taunton, formerly of East Boston

Peter M. Ciampi Sr., a 14 year resident of Taunton, formerly o East Boston, died on November 6 in Morton Hospital, Taunton, following a short illness. He was 54 years old.

Born in East Boston, son of Mary (Louise) Ciampi, now of South Boston, and the late Armando Ciampi, he was educated in East Boston schools and was a machinist for Morgan Construction Co. in Worcester for many years. He was a very active sports fan. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy (Parr) Ciampi, a daughter, Marissa Ciampi, and a son, Peter Ciampi Jr., all of Taunton. He was the son in law of Marie Parr of Braintree and the late David Parr and the brother in law of David Parr of California, Maureen McDonough of Dorchester and Carol Buonpane of Randolph. He was also the uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Crapo- Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South) Taunton today, Wednesday, at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church, Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. Donald W. Cook of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on November 7.

A US Army veteran, he was the husband of the late Barbara (Fougere) Cook; loving father of Dana Cook and his wife, Diane, of Saugus, Donald Cook and his wife, Janine, of Wakefield, Barbara Donlon and her husband, Robert, of Nashua, NH and Paul Cook and his wife, Nicole, of Saugus; cherished grandfather of eight and great grandfather of one. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Gallaway.

Phillip R. Barisano of East Boston died on November 8.

A US Navy veteran serving on the USS Missouri and a member of Local 3, he was the beloved husband of more than 59 years of Eleanor (Valen) Barisano; devoted father of Robert Barisano and his fiancé, Laraine Rossi, and Richard Barisano, all of East Boston, and the late Ronald Barisano and his surviving wife, Corrine, and the late Randal Barisano; dear brother of George Barisano and his wife, Beverly, of Winthrop, Ann Marie Gioia and her husband, Sal, of Saugus ; cherished grandfather of Lauren, Christine, Bridget and Julianne and is also survived by his adored great grandson, Anthony, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Donald F. Rossi of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, died suddenly on November 3.

A retired US Postal Service employee and a US Army Vietnam Era veteran, he was the beloved son of the late Nicholas and Margaret (Granara) Rossi; brother of Nicholas and his wife, Barbara, of East Boston and the late Kenneth Rossi; nephew of Anna Columbro and Angelo Rossi; uncle of David, Kim, Nicholas, Christopher and Erica and is also survived by many aunts and cousins.

The beloved wife of the late John A. Silvio DeModena

Boston Navy Yard retiree

Silvio L. DeModena of Hingham, formerly of Winthrop, died at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on October 31 after a brief illness. He was 93 years old.

Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Marietta (D’Angelo) and John DeModena. A resident of Winthrop for more than 58 years, he and his wife moved to Hingham recently to be near their daughter. Mr. DeModena was employed for many years as a electronics supervisor for the Boston Naval Shipyard.

He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Grifone) and the loving father of Marietta DeModena-Burns and her husband, Richard, of Hingham; the devoted grandfather of Robert Burns and the brother of the late Mario and John DeModena. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
