Jets improve to 3-1 with a shutout of CHS

The East Boston High Jets football team improved to 3-1 on the season with a decisive victory over Charlestown High School 44-0.

Eastie’s devastating offense came out swinging in the first quarter with a pair of touchdowns by Brandon Campbell and Stanley Greene followed by two, two point conversions making the score 16-0 at the end of the quarter. Campbell returned a 65 yard punt while Greene intercepted a Townie pass and ran it back 36 yards.

In the second quarter Brandon Amodeo ran back a 50 yard interception making it 22-0 and Mike Lockley added another 6 points with a 5-yard run before the end of the half.

Charlestown showed no defensive improvement during the second half as Eastie racked up another 16 unanswered points the end of the game.

Lockley had an impressive 53-yard rush in the third quarter followed by Amodeo’s 60 yard run in the fourth.

The Jets’ next game will be against West Roxbury Friday.
